If we go back to preceding days, as the price fell it encouraged more existing holders to add and average down positions substantially for a very low outlay. This was classic rope a dope resilience from holders buying. The average downs from 10% add on risk were taking off 50% on previous positions for breakeven on share holdings for smaller investors. The traders jumped on the bandwagon and as they got passed 25% or near to it traded out.

What everyone now is aware of is that 16-17p attracts stronger support both from additional buying of existing holders plus traders acting on the momentum afterwards. The ship is tight like a camels backside in a sand storm from within HZM and I do not believe the gossip repeated here. We have a week or so to go. Any pullback to 16-17p area is likely to be bought again early next week. The short brigade only have a few pence to play with.

86.3p is now out of the down channel, but overhead resistance line at 88p.

I just noticed the NFP numbers are low.

A lot of folks are waiting to get NFP out of the way. A big number is bad news as interest rates may go back up again.

Falling wedge towards strong support at 79p may well resolve next week. A move above 88p confirms a major breakout higher for Centamin. Suppression of this stock may well soon end. We have a chart gap in the 100-101p area to backfill. The company has banked another month of high gold prices on a well controlled AISC that has brought forward some AISC Capex under 2024 financial year. This bodes well for Q1 2024.

9 out of 12 holes found gold. 1 awaiting test data. Two drills found no gold giving some limits to the extend of gold present.

All helps to identify inferred to resource ounces in mapping out where the gold is with more certainty. Helps deliver a mine plan in the future.

I thought it interesting beforehand that Bloomberg fielded two analysts one suggesting USA was back in a 1967 scenario and another implying it was early 1990's and trying to make out comparisons. The elephants in the room in both cases ignored was USA current fiscal debt soaring and a lack of revenue to be delivered by growth. The demographics base has also changed dramatically and a lot of technology advances that gave superb productivity growth in those times are now absent. I agree with what zero hedge published tonight that this is far closer to what arose in 1970's. The quality of USA leadership with Ford who was questioned if he could walk and chew gum at the same time reminds of us Biden. Nixon and Trump both like creative accounting.

As for tonight's FED move all was as expected. Basel III was kicked into the long grass of 2024 and everything with regional Banks is apparently just dandy. It looks like joe public USA is getting blamed for all the spending instead of the runaway fiscal activities of the Biden administration. No mention of debt going up $650B in a month as it is ordinary people now spending wage increases keeping the economy hot. Of course the magical job numbers creation programme is all believed, however a crafty caveat was included that also covered any data on GDP. The caveat was that data can be substantially altered in several years time after deeper analysis. This of course sums up the wizardry of market manipulations and eventually accountability revealed when some of the architects might well be all dead and along with many investors who were caught on the wrong side of the FED and major bankers game plans.

I suspect the seeds of a gold miner and gold rally may well now be in play by the end of this month. The unknown of course is whether Iran flies a drone into a tanker somewhere inconvenient to its neighbours and we can barely afford to put petrol in the car (for those of us who have not bought an EV yet). I suppose in that scenario things would lift up gold as well but I of course hope it does not happen. All the best to my readers out there and remember to keep a sense of humour I recall there was plenty of about in the 1970's and they needed plenty of it back then.

More emphasis on short end rather than long end. Q1 2024 is end of peak issuance. This takes a lot of pressure off the equity markets as we run towards Christmas.

I think this has to be all resolved before Christmas late in this quarter. Most of what has gone wrong was the pull out of a contractor not delivering what they were contracted to do. The company has replaced them but it takes time for the new entrant company to get up to speed and deliver. What we do not know is why that contractor decided to let HZM down. The new contractor needs certainty fairly quickly.

Has just turned up as a sell and my price includes stamp etc.

At 16.9p. I have managed down 45% of the value of what I held for a 10% increase in the potential loss of everything. In pre 20 for 1, I am back in that 3-4p range when financing was only partly agreed a few years ago. I am hoping HZM survives and one day we get back to 90p. Sometimes to achieve success has its moments when it is near complete failure. Hopefully this turns out okay.

Just added at 11.99 can hardly believe it.

What did we learn from this chat.

1. Nugrus drilling results should come in either late this quarter or during quarter 1 2024.

2. Additional wWastre stripping is 80% done. It will finish probably Q2 in 2024 as the work tails off.

3.The CFO is for share buy backs at the current price providing it does not impact on development and maintenance and so forth.

4. The diesel cost is now priced at 75 cents a litre instead of 50 cents. $18M is saved per annum having the solar plant which provided 40% of energy needs for 8 hours a day.

5. The underground mining rates reach 1.4M tonnes 3 years from now. I would therefore expect the rate of increase is 10% in 2024. No mention of what may happen to feed grade but clearly a higher tonnage rate does help if declined a little.

6. AISC was projected to fall nearer to $1100 as depicted by graphs. $1250 AISC or near to it could be thetarget this year.

7. Doropo is in an under developed are of the country. (It will mean more investment in staff training if they are to avoid what has happened to Hummingbird as reported last week) Next Doropo study needs to go into human resources thoroughly.

8. Strip ratios after 2024 go up and stockpiles go down hmmm.

9. Moved Capex from 2024 to 2023 is around $20M for fleet expansion and power line deposit. (Sets up a better 2024 and probably aids lower AISC forecast.)

10. Not impressed with the lower share price comments. He could have pointed out the trend since July on equities is bad in most sectors and stocks. (The liquidation comment on equity portfolios arose because of high USA Tresuary issuance. Yellen sets Q4 issuance details this wednesday and as reported in zero hedge tonight it could decide the direction of markets for the rest of the year.

If I was the CEO of Centamin I would say we have no control of when the market offers a ridiculous low price as discount on the value of the Centamin stock. Buying low and selling high is a problem for some investors to do, but now is probably a good time to be buying the stock and in fact backing up the truck and buying shed loads. I then hope he can put a buy in afterwards.

Tonight SP500 held the 4116 support line and the next support line now at 4050 is critical. Panic selling happens when it breaks. If it is a stock market crash next week what are the FED going to do when or after it happens as they will have broken the market and the banks are already in a fine mess State side. In the meantime, Centamin will earn loads of money on higher gold prices.
