Mag. Did you read the Reddit comments? I went to the end of the thread trying to find something positive, without much luck. Hoping for a decent day tomorrow but nervous to put it mildly. Not selling until at 25p but could get messy.....

One thing guaranteed to cause a drop in sp is to keep banging on about an RNS. When it fails to appear disappointment sets in and people sell. Updates come when they come. I was in modestly at 2.45 and having taken back my stake will hold for a ten bagger. Talk of £1 seems a tad hopeful but 20-25p by year end isn't ridiculous given that the broker consensus before yesterday evening's news was 32p.

We can and have slated TB for his pitiful runnung of the business but Newgen's board need to ask themselves some serious questions. Whatever due diligence was undertaken before lending money to Rambler, and it took a while last autumn, didn't flag up potential problems with the finances. I assume that they, like Rambler, have been caught out by copper falling but surely they should have dummy run this scenario before giving the money.

CDF. I don't like negative vibes either, but those who said .10 today were closer than your .285. Unsupported pin the tail on the donkey guesses are pretty ridiculous in either direction. We will likely trade in a channel until news.

Posset. By definition you cannot 'deramp' a suspended share. The word is misused frequently. Deramping is talking down a share for a lower entry. If it isn't being traded that becomes impossible. I too am expecting an RNS to clarify what is happening with the due payment for no other reason than logic dictates we should be informed. MB flip flops a lot but I believe that to be a character trait not deceit of any sort.

Part of the reason that this and other shares drop is that people vonvince themselves that news is coming in short order irrespective of the facts. When they check the RNS list having set their alarms for 07.00 and find nothing from Baron they become disillusioned and even angry causing some to sell. News will come and no-one knows when but unlikely to be this year. If you believe a buy out/farm out is happening then hold. If you think a raise is coming first then sell, but give yourselves a lie in occasionally.

Gregorio. That theory works until an announcement comes from the blue and only those already holding benefit from a special dividend. Trying to call the bottom of any share is a risky business but more so here. Fish/Scooby. Probably better to stay single! Marc. How was Wednesday 'not much different'? Significantly higher resources and for the first time talk of selling. I haven't been involved in previous Webinars but a number of lth seemed to think this was a significant move forward. I accept that AIM boards are generally shysters but Andy Y went out of his way to address the point of not being a lifestyle company. A odd comment to make when he needn't have said anything. This is now almost a binary share: several bags or back to square one. The BoD has pinned its colours to the mast very publicly and very unambiguously.

Marc. Did you see the Webinar? Seems that they have found what they are looking for. What were you hoping they would find?

Jamestudor. What is your thinking for your prediction? I have assumed you haven't just plucked figures from the air.

Yesterday I asked HFB when he thought an offer might come and he said his gut told him well before six months but that we had been here before. Having watched the q and a section back again, I noticed what was either an attempt to temper expectations in this regard or a very nonchalant attitude. As for Monday's price, I fail to see why anyone waiting for an offer to come would really care. If we move towards June with no news then we will be back to .08 as funds would be needed for a drill. That is 8 months away. My investment, whilst a chunk for me, is not so great that I will panic if an offer doesn't come until next year. The potential rewards outweigh the potential loss by a serious multiple.

Not 'will be', but might be. Maybe 2 months, maybe 6, maybe longer. It's possible that an offer could come in 2 months but clearly tying up a deal would take much longer. No doubt the sp would move higher long before paperwork was sorted but any special dividend would need completion of the disposal.

Ian. The special dividend mentioned in that RNS was twice the current closing price and represented almost all of the offer.

Spud. Next week's price is irrelevant other than to buy more if unlike me you have funds. If we are lower in six months then I'll have a rethink here but no hurry.
