Most stocks are suffering ATM, CCL a fantastic brand IMO the best out there!!

I agree it's very jittery at the moment especially with everything going on and the future looking uncertain. However, it does look like CCL have a plan and managing the debt well it's just a case of things settling down. One thing for sure the Governments have done Zero to help the cruise companies from the start and they seem to be holding their own very well, let's face it any interaction from the Government things would be a damn site worse!
I can only see the future building for the likes of CCL getting rid of the shorts and managing debt is all good.

Looking very stable today next few weeks could see a rise back above 8s

To be honest most travel stocks are down today, CCL have raised 1 billion but the news last night concerning Poland and also the inflation figures sentiment is lower today, nothing really changed USA inflation rates better so I can't see this dipping too low and should start building. Forecast of debt resilience looking good and managed.

No surprise the USA premarket is down but anyone's guess this afternoon. I would imagine a drop then the start of a build late pm.

Bhants - Not a bad way to spend your days free holidays and a bit of teaching most probably something he enjoys sounds lovely. I think he was the host on Queen Victoria when we were on there.

Just been reading about the UBS doubling its SP forecast it would seem for most cruise lines. This should bode well for future months; the data looks quite impressive let's see!

K - Yes, I've been in GGP for some time, I have a good feeling about that one possibly towards next year end! I won't say too much on here but quite positive. I agree with you about Seabourn however - (Apologies for the essay) We have sailed on 6 lines in suites and balconies on all of them, to be totally honest we would always now go for a balcony as a maximum and we also will stick with P&O & Cunard for the future. Not to be humble or anything but we make the cruise work for us and all the extras that come with the higher end we feel not for us as we do enjoy the simple things and recently, I am loving the sea days, but the scales are saying different!!!!!! Another cream tea!!

Totally agree K, P&O does have a lot of loyalty like Cunard, I don't see that level of loyalty with other lines as often. I've been on lots of ships over the years and none seem to handle the weather like Aurora, it did help we were mid ships though. I can also see CCL having Legs let's see if tomorrow's announcement impacts the SP.

Just as a foot note we were going to be on the 65 nights south America cruise but because of other serious commitments we have had to abort this at late notice but P&O as usual were great and we have postponed until possibly 2024/5.

Hi K , thanks for that I agree lovely ships and very sea worthy we had a force 10 never felt a thing on aurora, will be a sad sad time when these icons eventually go but I think your right it’s going to happen. We are booked on Arcadia December !

Hi Never- we were on aurora 12 nights northern light cruise, in my opinion the beginning of the winter equinox is far better with a stronger KP index giving a better chance to see the lights, plenty of orcas and other whales and snow we went to Tromsø and Alta mainly north of Norway . We saw the lights , whales on our own no need to book tours !
I don’t think Covid will have any effect now certainly on our cruises no mention at all .

Bhants- thanks for that , We are on Arcadia in December we also like the smaller ships, I agree everything seems to be in place unless something else is coming along !! To be honest I can’t see any reason not to be in the 10s by Xmas time , the next set of financials should be interesting and hopefully we will see gains In anticipation. My report of Aurora was only just to let others no the current issues it didn’t bother us at all , we had a great time saw the lights in Norway, whales, snow etc so all expectations were fulfilled, can’t wait till the next one !!

The next few days should be interesting with current financials and operating limits I can't see any reason for a big drop only a push north. The only other news I've seen is the delaying of P&O Arvia and Queen Anne maiden voyages, but this shouldn't affect the markets at all. GLA

let's hope USA are pushing already down but can change quite quick

UPDATE
Just got back from Norway on Aurora, we spent the 12 nights going to tromso alta Stavanger etc.
The ship was full up and no covid testing required, Shindu & glass house was closed due to staffing shortages
Beach house buffet and MDR all open as usual
All bars were open and full
Itinerary change again in Alta they cut one overnight we think to save money on docking fees.
Crew were a bit down and understaffed, service levels have definitely dropped and little things no longer available like -
Chocolates on the bed
No Turn down services
No log at the end of cruise
No rooms service unless you pay a fee
No stilton in MDR
No wine waiter in MDR
Lack of staff
Unorganized shore excursions
No announcement for northern lights sightings
No toiletries like there used to be including flannels
Toilet paper cheap and hand towels cheap
It did seem like a no-frills cruise however all in all a fantastic cruise on a beautiful ship we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. Food exceptional as usual. There are a lot on cons but none that bothered us.
No mention of Covid at all
On board bookings through the roof packed every day.

Cruising is back that's for sure and the SP should reflect this in the coming months.
