Morning all - Came back yesterday off the Q/V from a 15 night cruise, ship was full bars full, casino rammed and no issues at all , speaking to the chief purser one evening he advised never seen every ship so busy as right now, we have re-booked the Q/A for next xmas/new year and got a fantastic deal on the Britannia club level. Turn down service is back and chocolates on pillow etc, no issues with anything in fact they were over and above on service levels.

Beejay we have done the short new year cruises 4/5 nights like the one your doing they are spot on. Ventura is a lovely ship also all sounds lovely and hope casino serves you well ! Live watching the casino play but would have a clue how to play I’m too busy eating !!

Thanks Beejay that does make sense I suppose they will credit themselves first so maximizing the turnover, I think it’s a good thing but again we now just have a balcony , where are you off to Jan on QV ? I presume Ventura is carribean ?

Hi Young - As per Kens earlier post and yours also and from our experience they are busy ships but never have we been offered to bid for a higher grade cabin. To be honest we have had suites on several lines but we now only ever book a balcony that's plenty good enough for us.

So the cruise we are on is quite expensive due to the xmas and new year period and we have a balcony , the grills on QV will be 20k or more but we have been offered to start bidding at £500 each of which we declined. Not saying we would of won the bid but reading between the lines the ships are not full.

We are away on Saturday on QV and we have received notification for bids for grills etc so they are not full as first thought. I'm sure results will be good tomorrow but some who think we will see 20s/30s in the next 12-24 months I do not believe it.

Hi Bot, I was also thinking along the same lines in terms of keeping it low prior to results, I do honestly believe with the last 12 months of trading we are seeing new highs I do not believe the 20s/30s will be seen again for a long time but that's my view.
