Business surviving Kalan - We ve been quite canny and have some reserves plus a handful of clients look like they are coming back so my business will probably mirror your analysis Kalan - Shocking for a few months and then a gradual recovery, bit by bit . We will have to see what it looks like at the end of the year.
Major issues with the market will come if the virus comes back in force in autumn but also the spectre of a no deal brexit which will hit the headlines in autumn for sure. Next year looks like the place to load up to me but until then trading is the name of the game. Best to you and yours

Interesting analysis Kalan - It really doesn't paint a pretty picture at all - I usually take Goldman Sachs and their likes with a pinch of salt. They say one thing to the general public whilst advising the big hitters and their valued customers to do the opposite. You need a lot of mugs to take up the slack so the big hitters can win

Hi MoneyHawk, Yes all valid points re the tipping service (but it does seem to have brought a legion of supporters with it which is good exposure whatever way you look at it) but there is reference to a non core asset sale in there. I have no idea where that comes from but if they can flog something they will be well and truly set up for cash which will de-risk it significantly.
I can't be sure of this sale though so can only relay the 'rumour' at this point in time but it was highlighted by the tipping service.
It's in an 'up' channel at the moment but it's bounced so high I can't really get any decent fix points as yet and it's overbought on the RSI hence anyone interested may want to wait a bit and pick a suitable entry.

Just putting it out there with absolutely no guarantees. The chart says buy but not today !

Another short opened on the FTSE. Stateside has got the wobbles and the worse than expected HK GDP figures have tipped the balance. 5400 next intermediate stop.

Anyone with a bit of loose change do look at GLR. The story is just unfolding. I wouldn't suggest buying today, just use your charts and pick a value entry if you want a nibble. It broke out of it's downtrend on 2nd April so has been simmering away for a while.

Big buy on JLP today too Kalan. I can't help thinking something JLP/GLR related about to drop but i've been saying that for a few weeks now ! - Looks like the fun run on FTSE & S&P500 has hit the wall big time. What goes up at the rate of knots, comes down even faster!

Jubilee have demonstrated they can turn their hand to anything and are happy to deviate away from PGMs so you never know. The close relationship they have could put any deal on 'workable' terms for both parties, in the picture so it's a compelling story. I see GLR as potentially being a real mover (it only takes a whisper to ad 50% to the baseline sp) over the coming months and that's why i'm here :)

What is HSR bubsy? There is talk of GLR selling a non core asset for something in the region of their market cap which would be handy money going forward. I'm in but not well researched. Just wanted exposure to something that could suprise. JLP sp reacting positively too. Interesting indeed

One is a potential sale of a non-core asset that could easily bring in cash equivalent of a large part or all of the current market cap.

I did say I wouldn't post on the FTSE again and some has asked that we continue these discussions whist it's quiet. I'm not seeing many posts related to JLP. What is there to say for now. Whether you like it or not the indices have a direct bearing on how your shares will perform over the coming months so you shouldn't bury your head in the sand. I will hold JLP again when the time is right so I am technically a follower and therefore 'reside' on this board. Apologies if the FTSE posts offend.

Yes it's Amazon and Apple siting woes that's really set the cat amongst the pigeons. What i'm learning is that the FTSE and even more the S&P500 are dominated (market cape wise) by a handful of companies. 5 companies make up 38% of the FTSE and in the states companies like Amazon and Apple puff up the S&P 500 with there huge market caps and strong SPs. Take them out and there's a whole different picture. It's taken me a while to understand but when those companies are sending out warning signals it's a good bet that a collapse is on the cards. 5387 next for the ftse and then below 5000. I'm positive we will see a retest there. The question is whether it will bounce of continue lower. It would not suprise me one jot if it rallies a bit before heading south again towards some of Kalan's 'lower' estimates. After the virus comes the prosepect of a no deal brexit (so far from everyone's minds at the moment) so although i'll trade up at lows on shares i won't want to be holding anything long term until next year. Way too much stress !
