I wonder whether the Oilman Jim / David Hobbs interview goes ahead - It would be pretty interesting and no hiding behind a computer - a recognized Industry Expert up against someone who writes a blog !

Has anyone got an update from Coldy whether this is going ahead.

Interesting to see that Serica picked up the licence for block 29/2a which contains the de-commissioned Kyle Field. Serica estimates it to have 9m bbl recoverable and is apparently considering developing via a tie-back to a nearby FSPO.

A unitized Tain / Serenity has closer to double 9m bbl recoverable which supports i3's assertion that there is potentially a commercial project here. Let see what happens.

I reckon GGG - your out of order and you know it . I think Stas hit the nail on the head - most others don’t deramp I3E here and then go ramp something completely unrelated. You should show some good grace and button it.

I agree with you Stas - I think many of us have mentioned another stock here from time to time including me - but in my case - it was a stock Doc Jones has pushed at the same time as I3E so I knew a few people here would be interested in a brief update. But I think GGG is out of order here - generally panning I3E and pumping this Gold Stock multiple times. He’s generally not done that before - but I think he’s well out of order here.

My understanding is that they did not apply during the 33rd Round - It wasnt up for grabs then. If it happens - It will be outside of the Licencing Round and later.

Not everyone agrees with WTIBull - he wrote a very critical research piece on Surge Energy essentially saying that they have a long track record of value destruction - evidently Eric Nuttall & Shubham Garg don't agree seeing that they are large shareholders.

In between some nuggets - he does write a lot of rubbish.

No information has been shared by the Company on the balance of the 2023 program let alone the 2024 program. If you look at last year - i3e issued 2023 Capex guidance in late December which obviously includes the drilling plan. Other Canadian Companies have already started to issue 2024 guidance so who knows.

Interesting to note that the recent Tennyson Note stated that they expected the remaining nine 2023 wells to be pushed out until next year - not sure of the basis of this but perhaps to do with the fact that there appears to be no new well licence applications in place.

Speculating as to why this may be the case:

1) Hording cash for an acquisition

2) Wanting to make a splash with the 2024 Capex plan

When they do issue the plan - unless its already fully funded (the 2023 plan was not) - then imo they should be conservative i.e. a Conservative plan which can be upsized in the 2nd half of the year if Oil prices meet or exceed target. They did this before and it worked a treat !

I note that the only Canadian - sorry I really meant US Oil Company - that you appear to follow is Diversified Energy and presumably invested in. Now I accept that my riude spelling is not up to your standards - but I think you've got to accept that your research leaves a lot to be desired.

I took a quick look at the Company results also to see what I'm missing here as the 20% dividend is very tasty.

Market Cap $780m

Debt $1.5B

Decom Liabilities $440m

A couple of observations here:

1) High Decommissioning Liabilities to Market Cap. Eric Nuttal believes that a ratio anywhere near 0.5 is a red flag and that's even assuming that the Company has estimated them properly. If the 70,000 wells in the attached article is correct - CSE maths suggests that they have been massively underestimated.

2) High debt to Market Cap ratio.

With a 20% Dividend and such a low market Cap relative to production / cashflow - Investors a lot smarter than you are telling you something here - in my humble opinion of course !
