I think that May's speech today is going to be the starting blocks for something good and my other investments have benefited despite Brexit (although a big slump in the first few weeks/ months) our business is benefiting from the weak pound which was perhaps overvalued in the first place. My clients who are mainly overseas large corporations who's budgets are based on USD all tell us Brexit will have no negative effect on our dealings so happy with that As regards Joyous time's ,our daughter is 8 months gone and we are to inherit the "Grand" title in about 4 weeks, looking forward to it immensely !! she is having a girl and my first comment to her was "Payback" !!! I hope I am still here to see her dealing with a teenage strop of a girl :-) her and her long term partner have now decided to get married (we did it the other way round in our day) so the wallet is going to take a big beating about this time next year , but what the heck its only her inheritance we will be spending but she does not get that As far as the fishing goes , had a terrible year last year and it is without doubt getting harder reeling a big fish up from 150 feet + below the waterline in the North sea, so maybe time to hang up my boots on that one. My boy hit 17 at the end of Dec and got his first car for his Birthday (thanks to Taylor Wimpey doubling our savings account for him) so teaching him to drive is pretty good fun and much dryer than fishing All the best for 2017 - 2016 to be honest is mainly best forgotten

I think its very likely ,It is only lack of confidence because of the COMS connection that holds it back , the news is not "wham bam, thank you Mam" as was the case back in the day , but now its good solid (if a little slow) progress, but its better to put down good foundations then build on it , then than the bullshit that drove it before. What leads the market higher then , news of impending bankruptcy !!! crazy eh ?

So many times with Barratts, its been a good stock for me , nicely in profit and have had the odd divi to sweeten the pot, but most times on good news it goes down, I have no idea why. We still have the "cash back" plus divi's for the next couple of years, I think it was forecast about 70 p per share by 2017 which will do me nicely. Lets wait and see
