As Kate and the King have seen fit, so will I , having been on here since Chid was BS and Whitelady et al , I am getting sick of looking at the drivel on here, most of it not related to Lloyds in any form. You seem to believe that this is the most important thing in your life, non of my other investments have a fraction of the posts that Lloyds does, not sure what that is for. Me I have come up with better way of making my life savings pay a better "per year" contribution by joining Kate and the King, although they are both two years behind me.Me , I retired in 2021 and 6 months later got the diagnosis , all plans knocked on its head, does not matter what I think, what will be will be, NHS have been fantastic, but ultimately IT will win. You moaners should know that it's a "one in two" bet so it could be you next. stop with the childish crap, leave the politics out, we all have our own opinions and we are all right, left or right, rant over, either stay in Lloyds or get out but, less would be more, by the way , not "stricken or battling" anything, just got it
Darbinator: Auto sells and a bit of profit taking towards the end of the week , this kind of uptick is too tempting for some when you have made more than a few quid in a day. My guess , there will be a bit more tomorrow this is not AIM so there is no "you would not to be out of this on Monday morning". Up over £40 k since the end of Oct so happy myself, better than I thought (not just on LLOY) nice while its here , lets just enjoy and see what happens
Pleeze yourself Gazz , was not trying to decide for you , you are clearly a financial wizard of some standing, do not know how you can clear the time in your busy schedule to post nearly 6000 times to us other fools, surely Bailey and his cronies would prefer your time
CHIPS, Now dear lady you are always a bit of light relief , but you are hammering this subject to d eath now , please come up with a new one, if only to cheer up an old fella, not having a great time at the mo, its is almost Xmas after all , Hope all is well in the IoW
Is mainly down to Baileys pathetic statement today at Rishi's investment council, saying that the state of the UK is dire. He should be sacked for being the most incompetent BoE head ever, followed closely by Carney, he says nothing about all the years of QE that we did not need, followed by the inevitable rise in interest rates to follow, he is an ass covering con man
Your are partly right, it is paid gross, but my pension provider (SIPP) and the HMRC are aware of each other, for instance HMRC tells the PP what tax code applies or when it changes so that they (PP) collect the correct monthly tax and pass it on to them (HMRC). I even get a monthly "payslip" and a P60 at the end of the year , it is a very simple calculation to see if they are collecting the correct amount, so no need to be getting a big unknown bill. Small amounts are adjusted automatically at the end of the tax year. I no longer have to do a tax return each year, but can still do one online if I get any additional payments (like interest payments above £1000) , pretty simply really
Yes then it dropped but went back up to just under £8 in April 2021, times were not the same then , we had help to buy , no stamp duty and all kinds of incentives to help buyers (and builders). I held Persimmon at the time also, bought at an average of about £6 and sold at £12 making a great deal (£32K) but peed off to see them go to over £30 (they are now less than £11. These are different times but we are still doing well and will continue to do so in my view and now we are getting a Divi (which we were not in the days of high SP) Interest rates appear to have peaked, the next worry is a change of government which will hit everyone , but it is at least a year away. In the meanwhile we have a well run company with a product that people want to buy with plenty of cash, whats not to like?
the sp here will go up and down like a t a r ts nicks, the reason is that this is a retail investors favourite for some reason and the big boys and girls, will play this up and down depending on the least sentiment to make a buck or three. the average posters on here (compared to my other investments, that only have comments to make when there is real news) are a prime example, talk ****e all day everyday claiming to be world ranking no all's , when the reality is they have f all better to do
Gunsup: It clarifies in the last two lines to say that they have amended the article because it was not an appeal, it was two individual lawsuits , one of which was denied. This does not give rise to a host of no win parasites, as each individual claim would have to go before a court and be awarded or not on merit
