Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I would suggest that ST is referring to your post of Wednesday at 10.13 where it would appear that you were quoting another investor called Learn to invest and ended in ffs, it could have easily been misread that you were saying it, hope that serves to end this long running saga
Did not stop the rally, it was just too juicy rise for a lot to ignore so they took profit before an inevitable fall, it will go up again , then down , then up, wish I could time it but history proves I cannot sadly
Sorry mate they are heavily involved especially in the North West
sadly Alan Rickman is dead
BCC Business said this morning that all index's were down on fears of coronavirus and loss of supply from China, it said the FTSE would likely react accordingly (or over react in my view) they were forecasting losses to global economy in the billions as Asia reports more cases - so nowt to do with Lloyds but we take the hit as everyone hits the safe havens , gold ect
It will bounce back
Well that makes a pleasant change, its gone up , but there is the rest of the day :-)
Pretty much as expected for half year , 9.8 interim divi , a little better than same time last year bet the SP goes down today , BDEV always seems to on OK or good news , but more than happy with my investment here
I hope that an offer can be considered other than AAL but have the board not given written and binding assurances that they will back the AAL bid ? .
Cash almost gone, no real business growth from the "pipeline" Disgraceful, big salaries, small brains
This share is not performing as well as it should in terms of SP , but the financials are good, very healthy in fact and an annual div of over 5% is not to be sniffed at. My holding is worth more than I paid for it (not much I grant you) and pays me a div that is in excess of the government pension, its not a great performance but is solid enough. Project fear , Brexit, the fear of a Corbyn government, Carney and his comments, PPI , International GEO politics , etc , etc have all conspired to keep the price low, but I believe it will pull forward in time, certainly not a dud as far as I am concerned
Bye all , hope it works out for you but i have sold up, 500,000 shares for £27.34 k, in my view this will not come good anytime soon
Good luck to all
Hamish Mcrae article (below is in this mornings DM and quotes Bloomberg article that is pretty bullish
The biggest change will be the UK ceasing to be unfashionable. The string of negative comments, however absurd, have inevitably chipped away at the country’s image abroad. Money stayed away. That is now changing.
Legendary US fund manager Stanley Druckenmiller told Bloomberg last week he was buying both sterling and British bank shares.
Back in 1992 he was working with George Soros when they ‘broke the Bank of England’ by taking a huge bet the pound would come out of the European exchange rate mechanism. That was Black Wednesday.
Now the historic bear of sterling has become a bull. Others will follow. Look around the world and where else can you get the combination of a stable government, an undervalued currency, and a dividend yield of more than 4 per cent from its largest companies?
There is a wall of money waiting to invest. Where will it go? One obvious place will be blue chips, the banks, the oil giants, the pharmaceuticals and so on.
Personally I do not think this is any kind of retrace , its a bit of profit taking and the market taking advantage of Boris hinting at a no deal Brexit as a negotiating ploy. BDEV is up £1 since this time last month and will probably be up another £1 by next , happy days
Avocet , May did not try and tell them what we wanted , she could only negotiate for what she could get through parliament which by its very nature would have to be something that would favour the EU not us thanks to the likes of Bercows meddling.
Its a different ball game now , they will have to negotiate for real and They are on the back foot not us
Newboy
Is only a negotiating stance , he is warning the EU to stop saying NON to everything, its time to move on now and stop worrying about the EU , they knew that parliament, regardless of what the people voted for , did not want to leave so they aided and abetted the EU ,its different now , we are going its just a matter of how easy do you want it and they do
Popped by to see how its going , down again , surprised ? NO
What a shower of sheet
Its righting itself now
