I’d like to see the £1bn profit hit first and foremost, followed by share buybacks in the coming years.

That’s correct, stores can be busy and overstaffed you know.

There can be a queue at all four tills but yet 7 young JD members of staff all standing around chatting for half hour, and it happens all the time, so yes they are overstaffed. Some stores have anywhere between 15/20 members of staff in at once.

I visit 3/4 stores a week minimum, I work in the sector myself although I understand the whole scale, from design, ordering, invoicing, warehousing, stock control, assigning to setting up an ePOS system to actually selling to the consumer, so I know a little bit about this.

I’d quite like to see the board announce a share buyback with some of the profits, maybe over the next year or so. That would make the SP rocket.

I’d also quite like to see less members of staff, I know making people redundant isn’t ideal, but these members of staff could be moved to other sites as and when they open the 200+ a year so no jobs are lost.

I’ve been visiting JD Sports stores at least 3/4 times a week over the past month, yesterday was no different, hugely overstaffed.

I was about to spend £130 on a new coat yesterday, I couldn’t try it on as the bloody thing was rigged with security tags haha! anyway, the size on the hanger wasn’t the size that was on the coat label so I didn’t continue with the purchase, shame for the shoes I wanted. Out of stock ( as it was end of line )

Hope to see 125p next week, truth be hold it’s anyone’s guess. The stores are busy, much busier than Next, so I’m positive!
