That’s to be expected, wait until March/April when the new ranges of summer-wear are out, and people are buying new lines for their holidays.

Thankfully we have Go Outdoors, Blacks and Millers in our portfolio and it’s quite a vast all year round business really.

I think people need to realise that many stocks are taking a hammering, especially UK Retail stocks.

Fraser is down about the same as us YTDc

B&M is down

Primark is down

Dr Martens is down

I gave a huge list of stocks back a while back that were in the red.

JD is a world renown brand, we’ll be back £1bn in profit at some point, it’s just a matter of patience.

What’s going to happen is something along these lines.

A) Pentland Group Ltd are going to call him in for a chat and maybe replace him.

B) We get a takeover bid from a big player such as Addias, Nike etc to expand their portfolio or a private equity firm who’ll buy this, and refloat this on the US stock market in the coming years. Look Shein is valued somewhere between 30bn and 100bn. We’re at 4bn.

C) The board has underpromised and will over deliver on results like Crocs have done in the past few days and she’ll take off again.

There wasn’t many Debenhams stores in Wales that’s for sure. Hardly a household name.

Nike leads the way with a 10% rise in share price since last Tuesday.

Potentially due to the partnership with Skims.

dealmaker1, I sat in Coffee 1 next door to JD Sports in Cwmbran yesterday for two hours sipping on coffee (opposite their new store which isn’t open yet) and that’s all I saw was JD Sports bags coming out of that store every few minutes.

I work in the retail sector for the government, so I know this game pretty well.
