What do you think the Information Commissioner is going to do? They've admitted they've had the cyber data incident and that data has been taken although they say it doesn't include bank details, but I bet it includes names, addresses, mobile numbers, as I've had some unsolicited calls since it happened. A lot of people will have lost confidence in M&S online services as a result, me included, and they will get fined heavily, and once that has happened, it leaves the way open for the law suit to proceed on the basis of what is likely to be the information commissioners findings, which he can't ignore, as M&S have acknowledged the breach. imo.

I came out of this a while back. The cyber attack has been very costly to Marks no doubt, and the news yesterday on ITV online indicated that a law suit is pending for the mishandling of customer data as a result. I'm interested to see what data was taken, as I started getting cold call selling after the attack. There's no excuse for them not keeping customer data safe.

This makes me sound ancient, but I remember going to the bank with some share certificates to cash them in, and it wasn't that long ago, in the early 1990's! How life has changed!
