Folks, I've got no axe to grind with anyone. Just wanting some justifiable explanations. Let's just see what the winter results bring. However. The drop from 44p a couple of weeks ago was way over done in my opinion. The buys thus far today count for something!!

Tell me Sam, what justification do you have for saying these are FAILED results? I really am keen to know your specific thoughts as to why, with these particular figures. Can I remind you that over three years ago, the company lost many, many millions. Let's put it another way Sam, what is there about these H1 figures in your humble opinion that is good....anything? I happen to think that things are most certainly headed in the right direction and these results are proof of this. I will say it again, a profit is a profit and there is nothing to stop this rising to over �1.50 in the medium term, if it's not bought out beforehand. And again Sam, absolutely nothing controversial about my thoughts.

This is an absolute joke of the highest order. In my limited experience I knew that 100/1 consolidation was a bad idea. It has taken any legs out of this share and I too am having to sit and hope for better days. Sick of being promised jam tomorrow, just not good enough!!

I agree entirely. I think this is the bottom and expect a rise on the actual results. Yes, returns to lessor costs can be higher if problems arise, but most of the time, these are priced in to budget. I maintain that a fleet renewal at this juncture would be a big mistake for flyb. It is a cost that they can't afford.

Sam, there's an old adage in this game, which I'm sure you're aware of!!! "Timing the market and time in the market ". You want your life changing money back? I'm afraid you're going to have to sit on this for quite a while and roll with it, just like the rest of us.

The fact is that Sam's 27p matters not. This airline is slowly getting into good shape and that is undisputed because costs are reducing, as is capacity. And guess what, if you want to travel within certain parts of the Uk, Flybe has to be used.....period. Thank goodness the train network in this country is sh$t and rediculously expensive, and that won't change for a long time. A big problem is that this company has been systematically raped by Jim French (who should be serving a custodial sentence for fraud and embezzlement in my opinion) and the narsacistic bully that was Saad Hamaad. A fortune was spent on rebranding for no reason. Over a 20 year period, I have captained nearly every aircraft in Flybe's historic fleet and have to say that there is no better aircraft than the Q400. It is quick, cheap to run and extremely versatile. To move away from this aircraft, would be suicide for the company and I can't see it happening any time soon. In the cold light of day, these aircraft are relatively young (RYR were operating B737-200's from the 1970's up until 2004!!). If you give people reliability and value for money, they will travel, wether on "rubber band aircraft " or not..FACT!!! COW is well received and unfortunately, the collapse of Monarch will play into Flybe's hands, as pilots will not be able to move on from its ranks for some time. This will do well, but it will be turbulent, for that there is no doubt.

Well, after having taken the ultimate gamble with this lot, I managed to bring my b/e down to 350. Of course, before the consolidation, that looked a lot easier to obtain as opposed to the new �3.50. Any thoughts? T
