I have said that i don’t believe in a bidding, war nor prices quoted in the high numbers by some on here. It is my belief that IAG will take this without contest. The fact of an additional pair of lhr slots to Edinburgh being announced is just way too much of a coincidence. IAG will keep Flybe going in some form to gain all of those slots, whilst stripping the remainder to divi up between BACF and STOB. Just my thoughts and I really hope that it works for everyone concerned, including us pi’s. I think the whole Virgin aspect is perhaps a bit of a half baked idea, but an excellent PR exercise. T
Oh great CF73....another legend. Because let’s face it, the more posts you have, the less sh#t one spouts. I see that you’ve got well over 7k.....everything you say must be gospel!!
As I have said already, although I wish it were true.....there will be NO BIDDING WAR. And for those of you talking nonsense about 75-80p per share, its farcical. THIS COMPANY IS IN TROUBLE. It has been completely mismanaged from its conception and the current ceo and her cronies have completely run out of ideas. In fact, I don’t think they had the abilities to run the show in the first place. STOBART have their own problems and don’t have deep enough pockets to buy and invest in Flybe. VS will want this for a steal and if a reasonable bid on their part is rejected, they will walk....pure and simple. Even if Virgin buy this company, the network as we know it is finished. No, there will not be q400s in Virgin liveries flying from Glasgow to Southampton, it’s not going to happen. It will be stripped as soon as possible and the dead wood thrown to the fire, without a doubt. No matter how you look at it, this is a big boy knocking on the door of what is now an amateur outfit that WANTS TO SELL. I have no confidence that a deal will be struck with Virgin and if it is, there will be no where near the figures quoted by some of the dreamers on here. This is all still hanging in the breeze and could go either way.....people need to realise and accept this. T
Getting waaay ahead of themselves. Obviously, I’m delighted that VS have come to the fore, but this still could go either way. Potentially a smart move with respect to NQY LHR slots, but I still have very little confidence in COW and her brethren. Let’s just see how things progress over the weekend. There is still everything to play for, but much to lose T
Completely agree ifluaj, and nearly everyone I have spoken to over the past couple of weeks have said that pilot retention will be the most important shortfall moving forward if there is no take over. The problem is, better terms, better aircraft to be rated on and most importantly, job security. All of these factors will play a crucial role on how this transpires. However, those who are on 75% 5on5off are reasonably content. But the home every night goes out the window if there is a lack of crew as nightstopping becomes the new normal. T
I only see this as remotely positive. I am in no way a deramper but the fact remains that a lot of us are clinging onto nothing but hope. I do see the current LTV of said Q400 as an indication of how bad things are here. This winter is going to be extremely tough for the company and yet they are up to the same nonsense of new routes/xtra flights etc. Aircraft should be being parked up on routes that are losing money, especially at this time of year. This is what money making airlines do and it’s the kind of carp that has got the company to the stage it’s at. Let’s be VERY clear here......this whole demise over the past month will have a MASSIVE effect on forward bookings next year as there will have been a huge dent to public confidence. I don’t believe COW has a clue about what to do, I’ve no confidence in her whatsoever. This current claw back of money will have been instigated by KPMG. I also don’t think there will be anything like a bidding war......complete nonsense. If someone does bid you can bet your ass that it will be to protect jobs and flight routes in the regions. We as private investors will be at the bottom of a large pile and that will reflect any rise to the share price. I keep everything crossed T
The signs and marks of a narcissistic lunatic....”Say something often enough and it WILL come true”. T
Scully.........you won’t get this because you’ve allegedly already filtered me...remember? The utter PISH you spout about anything and everything on this board makes you look like a complete arse......a complete saddo, who is on here every second via his phone and wired to the moon. Now take some screen shots, run along to teacher and report those that don’t agree with your PISH. Or, just keep hoping that people top themselves.....SKY ROCKET
Thought you filtered me numb-nut? Can’t even be honest about that either........Sad, Mad, Rocket....T
Great to have you back on here Sir. Hope you had a great time State side T
Well Julian, of course Sully is obsessed. An absolute ramping sky rocket talking utter PISH as usual. Oh and Oilbell with his £100k invested and knows that Brexit will be sorted by the end of the month....mmmm..better tell parliament then......utter PISH. With the knowledge that you boys have, you’d be better off using Paddy Power, or investing in crypto currencies, you’ll All be golden. T
This will not open at 15p or be at 20p at the close of play today, don’t anyone believe anything some of these ramping tw#ts on here spout.....its just utter bull. I suspect the market will not take this latest instalment of a hangar sale very well. NOBODY on here knows why that sale went through. For all we know, it could have been done to service debts owed to Exeter airport. If this was such an easy and worthwhile thing to do, then this management could have done sale and lease backs quite some time ago. The fact of the matter is, this HAD to be done and the timing of this fills me with dread. People talking of bidding wars need their arses removed and removed off of this board. Sadly if that were the case, there would only be several posts a day without our narcissistic rampers. Public perception of this company, whether rightly or wrongly is now dog sh#t, and this is going to have dire consequences moving forward, unless a decent buyer can be found......which I believe is unlikely. The work force will now be looking to jump ship at any cost. I have got a really bad, bad feeling that things are not going to end well here. To the rampers amongst you, STOP lulling people into a false sense of security by encouraging them to part with their hard earned cash. T
Constructive discussions on this consist of people on here ramping the s##t out of this with absolutely NOTHING to back it up with. EVERYTHING at this juncture is an informed guess at best...me included, but I’m not spouting pish trying to coerce people into parting with their hard earned cash T
Where has he gone?
Well, as I said many moons ago, the Flybe wash-house gossip put the previous STOB bid at 58p, so believe what you will. I have mixed feelings on this latest development, as I still believe things could go either way. I did average down some, way passed the point of being comfortable. With a new break even of 50p, anything approaching 40p, would get me out with the remnants of a shirt on my back. However, I just have a feeling that I won’t be so lucky. Things have changed for the positive, I agree, but only time will tell. All current employees/friends want a change for the better. They are sick to the back teeth of the greed, incompetence and complete mismanagement by the higher echelons in this company. Jim French should be serving a custodial sentence for fraud and embezzlement. His wheeler dealings et all were widely known back in the day, particularly with the ridiculous negotiations concerning e175’s.....truly shocking. The share price has done nothing but tank since the company was floated under his watch.....INSANE. With respect to the day to day running of this company, you couldn’t have asked for better employees. People are hard working, accommodating and highly professional. The continuing stream of legends at the top have ruined it for the rest. I’m not sure who will start a bidding war, if anyone. My guess is either Stobart or flybmi/loganair. I actually put my money on the latter, but hey, what do I know. As i’ve also said, I think this is end game for the company in its current form. It now appears that anything is better than nothing. T
Auson, if I can get out of this with my shirt on, then all will be forgiven and no more dabbling on the exchanges for me. Let’s wait and see what the formal figures are on the 14th. I have to say though, with a large volume of buys and no changes in the share price, it leads me to believe that something is a foot here. Obviously I really hope that things will be resolved and steady growth prevail, but I still think it could go either way. In other news however, I see Icelandair is looking to take full ownership of WOW Air, causing its shares to rise 52% yesterday. You never know, wee Willy and IAG might come to the rescue yet!! T
Wish I was RB, wouldn’t be wasting my life on here trying to recoup my money!!!! T
VERY LITTLE Auson. The problem with the Q4 is that it doesn’t age well unlike the atr. When you take into account the constant daily cycles these aircraft go through, It gets to a point where it becomes way more expensive to maintain them. Particularly the dash and it’s main gear, which is subject to additional maintenance. That however, is from a maintenance point of view. From a fuel efficiency point of view, the dash is right up there with the best of them. This is the reason why COW elected to keep the Q4 as the mainstay, because it’s too expensive to replace, getting very little in return. Also it costs a fortune to implement a fleet renewal with respect to training, licenses, recurrency etc. My current airline are doing wide body cross type training and qualifications at only 6 days per crew, but the costs are eye watering. T
Sorry, that was $50-$90 millions EACH times by 78..........weeping Jesus!!!! T
Agreed LP, many legends on here talking absolute pish with NOTHING to back it up with. 78 aircraft valued at 60-80 million........a person coming away with that kind of carp needs to have their arse removed T
