If it's perishables, consumption will rise significantly at a lot of what was bought will go out of date. In any event, the false supply crisis will diminish now, the issue will be how to get products to customers. Allowing vulnerable to shop earlier than others when they aren't supposed to be out anyway simply adds to the medical challenge.

Yeah but it's a binary thing - if you are that's great, if you aren't then it's bad. Hence I guess the huge polarisation of views on the situation. A 75-year is unlikely to feel as relaxed about it as a 25-year old.

According to a Reuters report today:
"About a quarter of China’s new confirmed cases of coronavirus and almost all of those outside the epidemic’s epicenter in Wuhan originated outside the country on Friday, according to official data."
Not sure if I can believe that but it appears to be in a Reuters report.
