My preliminary research into mechanical properties of multilayer graphene show that Youngs Modulus is amout ten times that of steel ( Idon't know what the equivalent of carbon fibre is).
Using conventional mechanical analysis tools, if the graphene is stressed to say 75% , or whatever, of its ultimate strength the stress in steel at the interface of a composite structure would far, far exceed its ultimate strength and not survive failure.
Basic physical laws must apply here, as anywhere, so am I missing something? Can anyone explain the basic mechanisms that apply here on a compound structure,
