Danawinner, I see that you exaggerate or jest. The current death toll from Covid-19 is around 200 and even if all were buried in one cemetery the area would only add up to about a quarter of an acre, but most people would go through the crematorium.
As there are always about 2000/2500 deaths a day in the UK, local authorities would be in a permanent beserk state of disorganisation if your statement had any semblance of truth.
My local MAB restaurant is now providing take away meals. It uses the food in their system, brings money in and safeguards at least some essential jobs in the business.
Nobody treats death lightly so don't jest about it. Or are you a hooray henry whose life has been disrupted.
I suggest you isolate yourself, eat and drink less so you don't get diabetes and survive over this difficult time to help other peopleand hope you, and lots of other people, will come through it all unscathed.
Then in a year you can write in to say you have survived.
Bonne chance.
'Some of us are a bit jumpy ATM but a talk show host said that someone in high places (heresay) stated that there is no shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment) for the NHS. THis is contrary to what many are experiencing in the field of medecine.'
A questioner in the House of Commons said that host did not have any medical or scientific knowledge, was telling untruths and asked what could be done about it. Rees-Mogg skilfully replied that if someone wanted to stick his neck out and appear a fool that was his fault. Very neatly and accurately said.
Good old Moggy!!!
Two US destroyers hit really big ships and 17 sailors die, two 737max down, hundreds die.
Their beer is terrible and I caught a potentially deadly virus from it.
And the president talks to bolsonaro with covid-19?
Having lived and worked in US the list could go on.
And they want to sell us USA health products, COUGH,COUGH,COUGH.
The list continues
''Anyone else thinking our government is incompetent?
They seem to have the same attitude as most people I speak to...it won't happen here!
Denial, ostrich syndrome ,
It's scary and most people do not want to know.''
Exactly my thoughts, well said
'If the battery weighs the same as the fuel, of course it will work fine and go ahead.'
But it seems it won't be, the fuel reduces over the flight period leaving about 10% at the end of the flight.
Therefore a weight penalty and weight is very important.
Weight is not a problem for ships, but range will be a big problem, as on aircraft.
The EU have just announced a large hydrogen push so fuel cells may well be the way to go.
I sold all my oil shares about nine months go and bought into alternative fuels and enabling companies and have benefitted hugely by it.
Forget the current hiccup, they are disruptive technologies and are here to stay.
Take advantage of it.

'Rail Engineers give a qualified thumbs up see : https://www.railway-technology.com/features/hydrogen-trains-uk/ and even the government seemed enthusiastic. The trouble is I can't see any progress is likely for a while with the present government now changing Ministers almost every week!'
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers were always considered to be conservative in their outlook. I initially joined them but am now member of other more progressive Institutes and Institutions.
Don't forget that electrification requires massive permanent infrastructure costs with associated CO2 and other emissions during its manufacture, erection and continual maintenance. I would have expected they would be far lower on an electric/hydrogen system.
The technical manufacturing Ltd. companies I have worked for or part owned all spent 5% or more of turnover on R&D. Those that were bought out by big conglomerate PLC's had that reduced to 2% or less. After a few years, turnover reduced as the company stood still and eventually products lost market favour.
Don't encourage anyone to buy out this company, it is doing very well on its own and will continue to be a disruptive technology for many years
