'Thus only one in seven tonnes of steel in china actually receives any significant strengthening - this is of course quite scary thing to appreciate given the fact that clearly most steel is going to be used in construction and not soft old hammers that can be sold via our local B&Q.' Alfa are you suggesting here, more Vanadium/tonne of steel, therefore higher demand?
they look like some very fortunate buys. GLA
Great posts scooby, putting into words what a lot are feeling on here. I for one expected it to take many years, but with my family history of prostate cancer I was happy to support the company. I was, along with many, naive to the fact of how often the company would be having to raise new funds. Perhaps if those at the top had slightly smaller salaries, their funds may last a bit longer.
I might have missed it.
Is your target not 1 by end of summer FK?
my guessing is they will have to have an egm to get this passed, like in previous years.
No I'm not saying that, of course THEY want to make money, but only for themselves. Anyway, exciting happenings at the AGM. You may be getting your wish.
Woody- GM and the like want success, but don't want us (the shareholders) to benefit from that success, therefore by diluting us we may not get that profit we desire. That is why we are never offered placing shares, if we were we would be able to keep our percentage up (if we could afford it). AIMHO obviously.
isas, i don't agree with it, but for the sake of the company I didn't vote against the resolutions.
Firstly to Woody, I'd like to say the actions of the bod are NOT in the best interests of us 'secondhand' shareholders who are wanting 'money for nothing' as a member of the said board put it. They are working in their own interests, if we piggyback and get some profit as well some of the board would hate it, when they've done all the 'hard' work. Secondly I would like to reitterate thebitbefore's comment that anyone going to the AGM does not vote against resolutions 6 & 7 because however much grievance you have with the board, stopping them doing their business will only harm the whole company and that includes us the shareholders.
Managed to dip my fourth toe into BMN today @23.43, it'll be the whole foot at this rate. Showing in red, so I presume the others at the same time and same price should be blue as well.
I've already sold some of yet another company and am drip feeding it into here. Three toes in now, lol.
Thanks for the BMN tip off whilst on another board. Best tip I've ever been given.
Good find Daidydog. TW is a muppet
What's that all about?
An isa is just a tax free wrapper. You are allowed to put 20k into the tax free wrapper in each tax year. You can withdraw whenever and however much you like without paying any tax. You do not even have to enter it onto your tax form.
Look on the positive side. We are all a day closer to being dead as well.
Well done forgiving info on this board Sheepy. Good luck and best wishes for the future.
Unfortunately it's still far from my top buying price.
65000 shares offloaded on the bell, £1.8mill. Could this be the reason for the retrace this pm???
