My bed and isa was completed today (see discussion on friday). After the money cleared from one account, I couldn't wait for the sp to drop further. I'm too impatient.
Happy it dropped yesterday, but disappointed with todays open, so bought back as soon as the money was transferred to my isa. With the couple of hundred already lying in the isa plus the transferred money, I managed to increase my holding here, so not a bad day so far.

You used to be able to sell, the broker transfers, and you buy back all in one day, within an hour.
The problem brokers have is that until it is cleared, the money still appears in the share dealing account (even though it has been transferred) and can be reinvested in the said share dealing account. Therefore my broker, Halifax, have stopped allowing it.

Some, maybe all, brokers no longer allow bed and ISA (probably because of abuse of the system). Therefore today I have had to sell in my dealing account (3704 shares this morning, followed by 14660 this afternoon). More small tranches will be sold and bought back in time. The first was shown in blue, clearly wrong, I did get a decent price, just above the mid if my memory serves me right.
When the money has cleared (probably wed thur next week), my broker will transfer the money into my ISA and I can repurchase. If the buying price is below 41.77 and 40.375 then hey what dya know, I'll be able to purchase more. If it has risen I'll lose a few shares, but who cares, my already ISAd shares will be even more in profit.

I hope the will explain my take on bed & ISA, i.e. imo it no longer exists and you have to do it yourself.

Alfa- if they now 'only have as many shares as NickD and a few of the other shareholders on this board', have NickD and the 'other' shareholders informed the market when they crossed thresholds? Have you got references for the RNS' please?

I posted my 1 code message 'tongue in cheek', can't believe it got 9 recommends. And then an hour later, what d'yer know, an RNS appears. I don't know whether it is a MM code or not, an RNS appears in the next couple of days sometimes, but not always.

Did someone buy 1 share yesterday? If so, where's the RNS? Aaaarrggghhh

On second thoughts, the reason could be the political issues with brexit today in parliament and all the market is taking a battering.

Allegedly 2.5m more buys than sells and BMN sp is down. Either there is a big sell going through the books or we are about to go 'POP
