Unless it’s slowly closing, not seen that it’s worked much.
Wow that is a huge SP valuation at the end!!
1st quarter update is due in May.
I really enjoyed this pod cast, that Artem Fokin knows this stuff! International Tax Expert, US Lawyer & investor.
What I would like to see, with positive news flow …
Positive accounts update, sec approved - £11SP
Strong quarterly update - £12SP
Price put on Petersen claim - £13SP
Then holds for 2-3 months, with up/down buy 10% unless shorter take advantage of time between updates (bit risky) but would not surprise me.
End of year - £15-£20
Seeking Alpha have always had a good understanding of burford. Lovely write up recognising the huge potential.
Nice find GT old boy, the market might take notice to this positive journalism, if not they will when we start bring in the huge returns.
Dago - watch this and make your own mind up, it has Chris very recently talking about this...

US market has already nearly traded as much as the UK, it’s only been open an hour!
Thanks Mr Marroc! Very enlightening
With regard to the selling of cases. Im, not 100% sure where BUR stand on this, they are or were obliged to retain 50% of the case - but I don't know if that still stands after a positive summary judgment.
They still have some to sell to take them up to 50%, which could bring in a substantial cash boost.
With regards to Preska - Can't imagine this will take too long, as Burford set a date to go over the remaining points in May (Date/Intrest), which she pointed out was required in her judgment. But again it's all guess, and as I pointed out, Mr Maril thought we would have a decision in 1 month, not 9 months! so even the experts get it wrong sometimes, at the end of the day this is a simple contract case, where all key facts are acknowledged on both sides.
No way of telling unless, journalists get wind. I class Mr Maril as a research journalist. Journalists have to get paid at the end of the day! They know what their audience likes to hear and what the don’t! As the raw truth can be painful and unpopular by the editors, who choose to publish what the audience likes to hear, to sell tabloids; which they need to do of course to draw in the big money ‘advertising. This leads to corruption.
I know Burford have mention this court before, but it’s anyone’s guess. We sometimes still don’t know who it is when won due to secrecy around settlements.
With regards to appeal -
They can appeal with or without a bond. With - judgement is not enforceable till second court makes decision on appeal in around 18 months. Without - judgement is immediately enforceable.
Burford proposes a 1-day audience with witnesses to decide:
1. Tender Offer Date (to calculate damages).
2. Interest rate.
The proposed date is 8 MAY or later. It doesn't look that neither side will appeal.
Waiting for Argentina's statement.
Very interesting.
Mr Maril just tweeted -
A statement from Argentina is missing, but it appears that there will be no appeal. Very interesting.

Swigs! *swings
Swig my beer
To be fair I’ve not seen anyone guess this share price correct, ever.
The experience Mr Maril, thought we will get a ruling in 1 month!!
My problem is not pressing the sell button, I know it will go
Higher, but made very good money (Average £6 and holding over 55k shares) this stock has haunted me last few years with its huge swigs!
Way I see it - Just got to ignore the court judgment WIN in the short term, they will most likely just ask for more time as usual and another month will pass; it's coming but not any time soon, it will most likely be a long drawn-out affair.
The SEC decision and the way forward with the ccounts and Q1 update I'm looking forward to end of month or mid may, we then have Petersen WIN, SEC approval and strong Q1 results - this alone will bring a further uplift to the shares in the short term.
With Petersen collection of some type medium term.
Yes, he was like - of course, Argies will pay, they have to, zero choice in the matter - like it was a stupid question if they would pay the judgement.
Love it
No mention of burford at all lol just YPF & Peterson
The rep in Madrid did say Argies will have to pay eventually.
