IMHO, one way or another, we'll be above guidance in Q3, which, with record gold prices and quarterly gold price average, will be very good indeed.

Thanks for that Irish, and if that's the case, then it ties in with what I was posting yesterday, and with what Shaun Day was indicating in his comments at the Americas forum two weeks ago.

Gold Price in AUD approaching AUD 5,900

For reference, in Q1 CY25 the Gold Price started at around US$ 2,625 (AUD 4,250) and ended around US$ 3,100 (AUD 5,000), and look at the revenue & free cash we had then, let alone what we should be seeing now!

To the best of my knowledge, yes we do still hold the shares, but, to be fair, they were valued at A$0.10 when the deal was struck, but are only valued at around A$0.24 today. Who knows what the future will bring, but, as far as Greatland are concerned, from our annual report, "The contingent asset associated with the deferred consideration has not been recognised as a receivable at 30 June 2025 as receipt of the amount is dependent on the outcome of the requirements outlined above which is not highly probable."

for anyone who may not know...

in november 2022, greatland entered into an agreement with ***** gold to sell its tasmanian tenements. the consideration for the purchase consisted of:

-initial consideration: $0.2 million (satisfied by the issue of 2,000,000 ***** gold shares at a deemed issue price of a$0.10 per ***** gold share).

- deferred contingent consideration:

- a$500,000 upon the definition of a jorc-compliant mineral resource of at least 500,000 ounces of gold in aggregate within one or both tenements (payable in cash or ***** gold shares, at ***** gold's election);

- a$500,000 upon the issue of a permit to mine by mineral resources tasmania in respect of any part of the tenements (payable in cash or ***** gold shares, at ***** gold's election); and

- a 1% net smelter royalty payable to greatland in respect of any production from the tenements.

Before someone takes a pop, I'll add, as I always do, that this is Motley Fool Australia, which is completely different to the UK version, and significantly better researched in mining...

The S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) was out of form in September and ended the month with a decline of 1.4%.

The good news is that this didn't stop some ASX 200 shares from recording very strong gains.

Let's now look at some of the best-performing shares on the benchmark index during the month:

GREATLAND RESOURCES LTD. (ASX: GGP)

The Greatland Resources share price wasn't far behind with a gain of 35% last month. It was one of a number of ASX 200 gold shares that raced higher in September thanks to the booming gold price, which reached multiple record highs. The likes of Bellevue Gold Ltd (ASX: BGL) and Regis Resources Ltd (ASX: RRL) also stood out with gains of 34% and 32%, respectively, during the month.

@ Ninetopprize "Perhaps he was suggesting they would be announced in the quarterly? " That's not how I read it at all, and would make no sense, because it's been made clear by Shaun Day that that scenario would now be the norm. He states "a separate announcement". Sure, they may still put them in the quarterly, as he said "potentially", but then again, why would he say what he did then.

"....but since there have been no announcements following Shaun's comment, I think it fair to say there is nothing explosive in the results." I'm not, and I'm sure Shaun Day's not, necessarily talking about "explosive" results, but it brings me back, again, to why would he make such a comment in the first place, especially when he probably needs to be especially cautious now in making any comments that are not followed up with facts. I'd also add that under the likes of disclosure rules, you don't necessarily need to report something if you don't have all the facts to hand yet (eg. in this case, possibly awaiting full/all assays).

Just my view, and only time will tell.

It'll be interesting to see if we get any drilling assays separately too, either before, around the same time, or after the quarterly report, following Shaun Day's comment a couple of weeks ago at the 'Mining Forum Americas 2025 Conference', "We've got 3 rigs in the Main Dome Underground, got 2 across in that West Dome, Underground. We like what we're seeing there, so we'll potentially share that with the market in a separate announcement."

With record gold prices and record quarterly average gold price, it should be exceptional, with hopefully some good assays in the mix too!
