Greatland Gold PLC (LON:GGP) said that further exploration work by Newcrest, its partner at the Havieron deposit at Paterson in Western Australia has indicated the potential for an underground bulk mining prospect. Newcrest also confirmed it will publish a JORC-compliant resource for Havieron in the fourth quarter of 2020.

I tend to agree and have posted about this for some months now! It's becoming more likely, IMHO.

However, I don't believe that there is any chance that they'll do anything to effect any S&S ISA funds accumulated to date and profits earned on them.

Yup. Similar situation here Matty. Luckily, all GGP holdings, from 0.65p, with top ups over the past couple of years, all held in a S&S ISA.

That said, I'll be watching HM Government and who know's what they'll do going forward to screw more tax out of us all! :-)

Shares of Australian mining firm Greatland Gold, have continued their move higher after a delayed reaction to the news regarding its Havieron Mining Lease…

The company announced on Thursday morning that the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has granted its Mining Lease application for the Havieron gold-copper deposit.

Greatland stated that the lease covers a 12-block area that is subject to a Farm-in agreement between Greatland and Newcrest.

The agreement was signed back in March 2019 to explore and develop Greatland’s Havieron gold-copper deposit in Western Australia, with Newcrest having the right to earn up to a 70% interest

Greatland said that it expects to lodge a mining proposal with DMIRS for early works and construction immediately.

Greatland Gold (AIM: GGP) announced that the $65-million farm-in at the Havieron project agreed in March 2019 with Newcrest Mining (ASX: NCM) is progressing ahead of schedule and that the mineralization footprint on the property continues to expand.

“Parties are on track to deliver an initial resource for Havieron in calendar Q4-2020,” Greatland said in a media statement. “Parties are also progressing studies to support the commencement of decline by end of calendar year 2020 or early 2021 as well as investigating potential subsequent commercial production within two to three years of the decline.”

The AIM-listed gold miner said the drill assay results from HAD001 had established the presence of high-grade gold at Havieron.
