Deloitte has released its latest 'Tracking The Trends' report for mining, exploring key trends and challenges facing the mining industry in the new year. I've only skimmed through it, but there are some interesting bits on exploration, funding & critical minerals...

Yup, I agree MH01, but I've never heard the usually, very careful with his words, Shaun Day, be much more clear about something, than he was today. Personally, it says a great deal to me, but, I accept, as always, only time will tell, for certainty.

@ sandgrounded, If you get a chance I suggest you listen to the interview to get a feeling for exactly where Shaun Day stands about this (from around 28 mins), but he said that it's "highly unlikely" that there would be a buy out of the other J/V partner.

In Aim On-Air interview today, Shaun Day stated that the assays are "still coming back" and should be announced this quarter. He's "super excited" about the project.

It'll be interesting to hear if he mentions the Ernest Giles assays, when due, and if any positive vibes....

I'd think that the 0.75%, so far, increase in the price of gold today (Currently @ $2033, was mainly due to this news.

Indeed Spy, and, there are more catalysts coming up this year, some very soon now too, than ever, ever before for our company!

It's good to hear that everything is running pretty smoothly for the Starvest shareholders.

What I can't understand, have been the comments from some posters, that suddenly, we're going to see selling? However, surely, most of the Starvest investors bought in to, at times, obtain GGP stock at a 'preferential' price, due to the spread.

I guess it's just the same old de-rampers, who just love to pick on anything to push their agenda!

I find it quite amusing that, well over 2 years ago now (sorry, but I can't remember exactly when, and I haven't the time to go back through all of my posts to find it) I posted a link to this, which has subsequently been posted again, quite a few times, by others here, and elswhere:

At that time, and still now, GGP has ticked several of the 'boxes'.

The big difference then, as opposed to now, is that most people believed that it was nonsense. I think that now, most people are well aware that it's not!

However, not wanting to drag on about this, my personal view, and which hasn't really changed, for some considerable time, is that the gold & copper are still there, and increasing, in what, again. IMHO, will be shown to be one of the biggest, if not THE biggest gold/copper mother lodes for a generation, or more.

That all said, sure, I'm as totally frustrated as everyone else, with what's happening, BUT, at some point, the shorter's are going to have to buy back in, and, then, especially if they're caught out with some unexpected news, which is also increasingly likely, with our multiple holdings, anyone NOT in, will, quite simply, NOT get a look in! You won't be able to buy, because the MM's will control the, probably, hugely significant rise, that I'd expect.

Good luck, and, let's be honest here, time is now flying, and this year, especially, will, IMHO, be a game changer for the patient investor, and there's a lot of us!

Thanks for the link MH01, and he's not the only one that can see this now, by far. Several analysts and fund managers have made similar comments, including the likes of Charles Archer and Willem Middelkoop, who have also specifically cited Greatland Gold as clearly undervalued, as are so many of the explorers now.

Indeed panama, and let's never forget what Sandeed Biswas said, back in 2020, about the gold in the SE Crescent at Havieron, being 10X the grade going through Telfer!

“So this mineralisation is quite different in many ways to what we are seeing in Telfer”

“For a start its much higher grade, I mean, we haven't seen these sort of grades at this sort of volume in the Paterson”

"The reason we are excited, and you've seen all the drill holes is that we have this high grade kind of what looks like a parabola on its side where we think that the first mining will start."

"Which will involve high grade stoping, which we will truck to Telfer. So this is, you know, 10 times the grade of what we're currently treating at Telfer."

Also, in addition, it was further good news to hear from Shaun Day last Sunday that, in his interview on 'Sunday Roast', "De-watering at Havieron ahead of schedule"

I'd just add, and, BTW, this is pure conjecture/guessing on my part, so please ignore if you only want 100% fact, but I've not heard/read Shaun Day comment so much, positively, on any pending drill assays before. Also, don't forget that these comments were made AFTER driling, so there would surely have been visible/machine analysis core reports available.

It's often, in my experience, and I'm a great believer in it, that you need to closely watch 'body language', and it's often what's 'not said', but with some small comment, that is just as, or even more important, than what is actually said. I don't remember Shaun Day ever even mentioning Scally impending assays, unless specifically asked about them, and, even then, he'd only mention when they were expected.

I'm certainly not wanting to get anywhere near the crazy hype we had, years ago, with the initial Scally assays pending. This is purely my opinion, and let's just see....As always, only time will tell!
