Another nice rise this morning, although in thin trading, taking us to 9p again...

In my experience in investing, and others investing, there's nothing much else as certain as death & taxes, apart from an investor not sticking to a share price at which they say they'll sell, especially when there's a large bull run, and that price is exceeded in short term. I well remember chat on this board years ago when the sp was around 9/10p, and several posters were predicting at what level they planned to top slice, or sell. I don't think many stuck to that when we had the big runs north, especially from mid-end 2020.

Gold price gains traction above a record close of $2,070 during the early Asian session on Thursday. The upward momentum of yellow metal is bolstered by the softer US Dollar (USD) across the board. Gold price currently trades near $2,080, gaining 0.09% on the day....

POG currently @ $2085, having hit $2089 in earlier trading.

Hi Bamps, that's maybe why I don't comment on any particular wish for anything in terms of the POG, just give the facts as they are today, and tomorrow.

Not so sure Ben..A few good (IMHO) analysts have said, in the last week or so, that mining juniors have hit bottom, and that this week, and during early January, we could see some large movements north. It's also being supported, so far, at least, by the gold price.

As always, only time will tell, but, as I posted a few days ago, we could now be seeing a very positive move north, having hit bottom....

$2070 just breached again @ $2070.26...

Start of production estimated at end of 2024, so amazingly fast, compared to most mining projects around the world.

Also, IMHO, as is often the case with these projects, I'd now see a steady rise in the sp over those 12 months, or so, leading up to actual production. However, in this case, with one of the largest gold/copper mother lode(s) seen for a generation, or more, and also the highest grades of gold ever seen in the Paterson, in the SE Crescent zone, which is still open at depth!

Soon be back at 9p again at this rate...

Still firm @ $2068, and has pushed to breach that $2070 price again ($2069.26 intraday high)....

It looks like someone wants shares...SP up 4.2% with only 2.2M trades so far today. No problem to get an offer for 500,000. Who know's, and only time will tell, but hopefully looking good for the next few days, as others predicted recently....

As many of us know, that was actually believed by many, as likely, as early as when we first drilled at Havieron, with the likes of HAD005. It's now years since that, and the results are proving it out comprehensively.

However, as we know, it's not just the size, which is increasingly looking like one of the biggest gold/copper mother lode(s) for a generation, or more, it's also the amazing grades, at least in the SE Crescent, which, even Sandeed Biswas stated, very clearly, As Sandeep Biswas stated in 2020:

“So this mineralisation is quite different in many ways to what we are seeing in Telfer...For a start its much higher grade, I mean, we haven't seen these sort of grades at this sort of volume in the Paterson..."

"Which will involve high grade stoping, which we will truck to Telfer. So this is, you know, 10 times the grade of what we're currently treating at Telfer."

@ aim999 Please 100% clarify this for everyone. Are you actually a shareholder in GGP?

@ loftmonkey57, I've never quite understood your investment strategy, especially when you, "...bought big recently when the SP was rising and the MRE was imminent"? Why didn't you buy earlier, when the sp was beow the likes of 6-7p?
