If there's one thing I've learnt in my many decades of life, it's that it also rarely pays to surround yourself with people who're always negative.

Haven't heard too much recently about Havieron, which some of us have had a flutter on in the past.

IMHO, this could possibly be something to do with the formation of a 'top hat' company in Australia, as part of a future ASX listing (and/or M&A activity). This was mentioned some time back by Shaun Day, but I did specifically ask him to clarify at the last town hall meeting in March this year, when I asked him a question through the chair:

Q: "...last year you suggested the possibility of a top hat company in Australia which could potentially save a great deal of time and money by avoiding have to double up in legal advice in the UK and Australia amongst other things, what are your views on that and how would it affect shareholders"?

A: "Yeah well look I've talked about the ASX listing and you know we try to think about that you know from what is supportive of shareholder price what creates shareholder demand and that's the way we think about the ASX listing - as fine tuning of that we obviously want to create the most cost effective efficient platform we can and if we believe that having ‘top hat’ing it with an Australian entity so you don't presently we kind of operate in Australia plus we have our head office here in in London so we kind of end up doubling up on a lot of legal and accounting bills - you know we do the work in Australia then we redo it in London or you have to check at least that the jurisdiction is the same for both - if our advice continues to be in whatever circumstances we are that it is a cost-saving element to consolidate the corporate vehicle in Australia not withstanding we still got the London listing - I think of course we're going to try to think about what is the most efficient, what saves the most amount of money, what drives the biggest bang for shareholder buck so I think that's the way we think about it - we're not pre-baked on it but certainly last time I think the advice was hey you can save money if you consolidate your legal and tax advice into Australia, may be bad for the local law firms but good for us putting more money into the ground."

Talking with a few other shareholders in WSBN, they're cashing out (at a loss), like me too, and many have now moved into Global Petroleum (GBP), after their J/V with Callum Baxter, previously with Greatland Gold (GGP), and who managed to hit Havieron big time, after drilling deep.

IMHO, that's now a better 'bet' on any current, high risk, Oz WA gold/copper explorer. Sure, you can trade on the usual pump & dump WSBN stock, but I now feel that it's been exposed so much, it's now a losing play.

@ acechaser This is ONE thread about an exploration company drilling relatively near to us. There is also a possibility that, with what's happening around Telfer/Havieron/Newmont, etc., there could be all sorts of different combinations of M&A activity. This compared with the absolute nonsense & handbag waving on most other threads, so no, I won't be refraining from posting what I believe will be of interest to some other shareholders.
