Ah yes, that old investor question...When to take some profit/top slice/sell out?

Believe me, especially with GGP, unless you're really 100% fixed on a strategy, they rarely carry forwards! I well remember posts on here, years ago, with many posters saying what their strategy was...."I'm going to sell out at xx p", "I'm going to top slice at xx p"!

In reality, and in honesty for most, it rarely happens that way. All it needs is a big, or even medium sp rise, in a day/week, taking the sp to those decided upon levels, for the investor to rerate their policy. WoW! I'm now going to hold a bit longer...rinse & repeat!

So, all those that ask, sadly, often with derision, "Why didn't you sell GGP in the high 30p's?", it's really not that simple! I've already said in the past, that despite initially buying at 0.67p, I didn't top slice any until it had dropped back to around 26p.

Anyway, I know that nobody in investment is ever, ever, perfect, so just laugh at those that think that they are! They're usually losers!

Global Petroleum (LON: GBP) has risen on the back of yesterday’s application two additional licences near to an existing licence in Western Australia. Precious and base metals targets have been identified that have similar characteristics to the existing licence. The recent board appointments have experience in this area. The share price jumped 37.8% to 0.1275p.

Well, not quite 7p yet, but I'll take 6.51p, up around 35% on the placing price!

I totally get your view Cybertron, but, in this case, IMHO, the SP is so ludicrously low right now, that I don't mind significant rises short term. Also, I'm sure we won't see this every day, by any means, as nothing ever goes north consistently, but I think this has a long way to run yet.

Well, I know that many others jumped in here at around £0.0007 when I did, back at the end of August, when the Callum Baxter story broke!

Nice rise so far this morning. IMHO, maybe, in part anyway, some WSBN investors have given up with the latest placing, and jumped ship, with Juno now looking a better bet, under Callum Baxter's management, than Red Setter? Just my own thoughts. DYOR

With the geological knowledge of Callum Baxter, and his past history at Greatland Gold, my guess is that they probably also applied for these tenements, in part before someone else did!

Global Petroleum Limited (LSE AIM:GBP) is pleased to announce it has applied for two further Exploration Licences ("Licences"), 52/4391 and 08/3744, adjacent to the current Exploration Licence 08/3497 in Western Australia, via its wholly owned subsidiary Juno Gold Pty Ltd.

Callum Baxter, exploration geologist consulting to the Company, has identified potential exploration targets within the Licences which share geophysical similarities to the target within Licence 08/3497. Global believes these additions will strengthen its portfolio and vision to discover a world class deposit.

The total area of the Juno project has now increased from 106 square kilometres to 450 square kilometres covering multiple magnetic features. The Company is using an intrusion related deposit exploration model seeking to locate precious and base metal mineralisation, similar to that at the Havieron and Telfer deposits in northern Western Australia.

Just looking back at the June Quarter Update to remind myself what surveys/assays were still pending: Maybe Sean will have some news at the Town Hall meeting. However, I don't believe that we would necessarily hear about soil sampling assays:

Budjidowns E45/4815

The Atlantis prospect at Budjidowns (Figure 2) is a focus for Greatland in FY25.

A gravity survey commenced at the end of June 2024 and the results are currently being processed.

Wilki Lakes E45/5576

Soil sampling across the entire tenure (Figure 3) at a nominal 300 x 800m spacing for 137 samples has been recently completed, targeting Hemi-style felsic intrusive hosted mineralisation. Assay results when received will guide further exploration.

PATERSON 100% TENURE

Scallywag E45/4701 and Black Hills North (E45/6134)

At Scallywag a targeted soils program (119 samples) has been completed in the north-west corner of the tenement in 2024, targeting the host units of both Telfer and Havieron in a fold closure. A further surface sampling program of 417 samples have been completed in 2024, covering most of the Black Hills North tenement. Both programs were completed on an offset 200 x 200m grid, with assay results under review.

Pascalle E45/5316

Soil sampling (437 samples collected) and field mapping has been completed at Pascalle in 2024. The assays results are pending, and once received will guide the future exploration program for the tenement.

The Telfer processing facility has a nominal processing capacity of 20Mtpa, across two 10Mtpa processing

trains, and is the only gold-copper-silver processing facility currently operating in the Paterson region. The

Greatland base case is for processing of Havieron ore to operate a single train, the Telfer Train – 1 circuit,

on a campaign basis at approximately 50% utilisation. This would result in a significant amount of surplus

processing capacity that Greatland have said would enable a ‘hub and spoke’ strategy to create additional

value from regional opportunities, including:

— “potential exploration success from the Enlarged Group’s significant exploration portfolio in the Paterson

region which includes interests in approximately 3,800 km2

of tenure within 60km of Telfer.” This includes

the Wilki FIA with Antipa and the Parklands target.

— “further potential accretive regional opportunities to be considered by the Enlarged Group, for example

joint ventures and toll processing arrangements.”

Whatever way you look at it there is a high chance that Antipa fit into the Telfer story, through Minyari and/or

its Wilki Farm-in Project as a potential accretive regional opportunity

So, on a busy day, they shouldn't?!

OK. let's be honest here, there are, surely, a load of GGP investors who've invested in GBP, due to Callum's input! Yes, including me.

That said, I agree, this is a GGP forum, and there is a GBP forum too, and no real need to post here.

Just my opinion, but anything to cut out non relevant posts for GGP is fine with me.

Newmont Corp., the world’s biggest gold miner, said it’s on track to raise $2 billion — if not more — from selling smaller mines and development projects.

“We’ll get at least that,” Chief Operating Officer Natascha Viljoen said Tuesday in an interview on the sidelines of Denver Gold Group’s annual forum in Colorado. “All of them are tracking according to plan.”

The Denver-based metals producer signaled plans to divest assets after closing its acquisition of Newcrest Mining Ltd. in 2023. The sales are part of plan to focus on so-called Tier 1 assets, which can produce at least 500,000 ounces of gold equivalent for 10 years or longer, while boosting the company’s exposure to copper.

Newmont agreed to sell two Australian assets to Greatland Gold Plc for as much as $475 million earlier this month. It’s now pushing to finalize sales of mines and projects in Ghana, the US and Canada by the end of the first quarter in 2025...

With the last right of refusal we 'held the aces' in the negotiations with Newmont. IMHO, with Telfer we now also, for the short/medium term anyway, 'hold the aces' for any new required processing in the region, and are now the regions natural consolidator.

I think that a lot of investors, who care to think outside the box, are now starting to catch on, not just about what we now have in material terms, but also in 'strength' terms too in the region.
