I hadn't realised that Schroders had a position in Greatland Gold of 105,071,300 shares in their 'Schroder International Selection Fund (ISF) Global Gold'. It's only just shown up on our Morningstar ownership figures, but I appreciate that it's often behind.

Anyway, an interesting comment in their last fund update:

"Significant positive attribution came from some of our developer positions such as St Barbara and Freegold. Greatland Gold which has also performed very strongly since its large equity raise early in the month to fund the acquisition of Newmont’s Telfer and Havieron assets. We participated in the raise, initiating our first position in the company."

They still own 20% of us.

Indeed, and, with record gold prices, you could liken it to shoving coins (ore) into a fruit machine, turning the reels (production), and hitting the jackpot every time!

That's business. I'd be miffed if the BOD didn't get the best deal available for shareholders.

Currently trading in US Dollars at USD2780, just USD10 short of the record intraday highs at the end of October last year. Could we see a new record today?

I can't believe the negativity, but, then again, let's be absolutely honest here, it's mainly from the usual suspects, and their new mates, who've, unsurprisingly, arrived here, with the likes of their first GGP posts, over the past 24 hours. What does that indicate to me? Well, IMHO, they're scared!

"And, speaking of the future, although there's a great focus on Telfer with today's announcement, the jewel in the crown for us is Havieron, and we're walking towards that Feasibility Study, which we'll get out in the 2nd half of the year"

- Later this quarter a JORC Resource on Telfer

- 1st full Quarterly out in April, with that March quarter Telfer production/revenue, etc., with a very detailed overview

- ASX listing in the June Quarter (1st April - 30th June) plus JORC Reserve, demonstrating the mine life extension at Telfer

- Havieron Feasibility Study in the 2nd Half 2025

Yup, Shaun Day indicated in his Proactive interview yesterday that we should expect quite a bit of regular news over the next few months. He was even about to say every 'couple' of weeks, "In a matter of every couple..few weeks we want to have some more pretty important announcements coming out for our shareholders...We couldn't be happier."

I'm really looking forward to what's coming, and, now it's all ours, we don't have any longer third party control on what's put out either!

I think someone's opened 'The Usual Suspects' gate again, and they've managed to recruit some new members!

Gold and copper production higher than expected for first 27 days under new owner.

Greatland Gold's $475 million acquisition of the Newmont's Telfer and Havieron projects in Western Australia is only weeks old, but the UK listed miner has already established itself as a sizeable Australian....(Sub Req)

Analysts at Canaccord Genuity slightly raised their target price on exploration and development firm Greatland Gold from 17.0p to 19.0p on Tuesday as it updated its model on the stock following its December production figures.

Greatland Gold released its maiden production report since closing the acquisition of the Telfer mine and the 70% of Havieron that it did not already own, with gold production "significantly" beating its expectations of 915 tonnes at 1,189 tonnes. Copper production also beat expectations, as did the firm's closing cash balance of AUD $145.0m (£73.74m).

While Greatland has not yet provided guidance for FY25, Canaccord noted the derisked nature of the mine plan as the company has reported approximately 11.0m tonnes of run of mine stockpiles at 0.71 grams per tonne of gold, in addition to a further 25.0m tonnes of low-grade stockpiles.

The Canadian bank expects Telfer to produce roughly 336,000 ounces of payable production over the initial 15-month mine plan as lower-grade material moderates the strong run rate seen in December 2024.

"The report should allay most fears around the ramp-up of the plant (which we estimate is operating ahead of plan at 54 ktpd v 48 ktpd in the technical report) and affirm that the balance sheet remains in a strong position. We estimate that GGP trades at 0.32x (peer avg 0.7-0.8x), and we continue to see this period as an attractive entry point ahead of the potentially catalyst-rich calendar in CY25," said Canaccord, which has a 'speculative buy' rating on the stock.

Indeed! This is one of, if not the largest, daily, GGP sp increase for years! Why? Because we're now in another league, a producer, which many people still don't appreciate, and value is much clearer.

Onwards, and upwards!

What a lot of people, still, just don't understand, is that we're now a producer, and it's completely & utterly different from our previous standing. Hopefully, the shorters, are also largely ignorant, and are now being burnt!
