RE: Deal or No deal?25 Apr 2020 16:24
I fail to understand why there is such unresearched and unsupported debate about Next Wednesday / Thursday takeover / Havieron offer / Rio Tinto snatch and grab/ , because so far nothing has occurred which even suggests anything that it will hurt the SP.
We know that there is gold in them thar hills. But not whether it is pretty good / bloody wonderful , or just unbelievably massive.
If NCM wish to make some kind of a deal ( probably only for Hav. at this time, ) then that deal is to be done fairly, equitably, non- aggressively between two CEO's who have worked long and hard together , who respect and get on with each other , using data which is 100% known to both sides, and with one CEO who owns a portion of Hav that the other desperately needs to acquire to sustain his Telfer feed, and the other CEO who 100% owns ( possibly / probably ) another Hav. plus , plus , plus., which would seal Telfer for the next 50 years.
And if it hits 15p on next Thursday am, I would not sell in a million years, because that will be the new baseline. There is so much more positive things to happen from that point onwards. MRE ( which the top guys probably know already ) , the Scally drills still to happen , but with a fair certainty alread of what to expect.
And then all of the rest of the GGP stable , which tend to be ignored, the CU reserves, and maybe some more GGP acquisitions .
This a beginning, not the end. I will certainly hold till end of 2020, then reassess ( assuming no totally unforeseen disasters ),
when I confidently expect to be pondering over an SP in the 60p to 110p range. A much easier decision to take.
But I never , ever take my eye off the ball.
