Stocks, you are a positive guy, I like it. Just giving this the once over. If you understand the investment you make, and are confident in the value, you are able to hold when the price starts bouncing around and morons post lies. This investment is very much about cash generation atm. Revenue is fine...but really with this debt and to service it, as others have said, they need to get a grip on cash.

And for the record I am long.

@Stocks - in the May interims cashflow statement there is no divi payment and they were cash negative, go look yourself. I am putting down fag packed numbers with assumptions here, don't jump down my throat.

Pearls - the critical factor is, will earnings recover. If those aqui's bed in, and the economy holds up, I expect this will be profitable, and everything comes into play. When you make the assessment you do - you assume that this will continue to make losses - perhaps it will but equally you should know why it would if you take that view?

Interims say that by August 2021 £35m of main debt facility is repayable. This was 70p prior to 50% dilution, now should be priced 35p on same basis. Equity raise to cover entire £35m capital repayment (assume zero cash generation over next 18 months haha) on current market cap would dilute down to 17.5p. Now trading below half of that.

Its laughable.

So £66m is 14x earnings - hoever, we are unsure what the profit growth trajectory was. Doesn't look like a bad aqui to me really

Next question for any long term holders or clued up investors - why did the earnings dwindle so badly. Few people saying over expansion, low margin business, but it used to pull in EBITA over £40m - surely the aqui's were value accretive?

Also, what was in the exceptions charge that just went through, was it just right down of GW?

Thirdly, what is this touted cash raise for if they have just injected a load of liquidity?

If debt is circa £200m and Market cap is £30m, take out value is £230m for the whole thing debt free.

Wincanton trades on a p/e of about 9.

So earnings of £25m required to make this a punt on those terms in a takeover.

Based on historic earnings before the acquisition I don't think that is beyond the realms of possibility once the acquisitions bed in.

This is too cheap at current price.

If they removed full year guidance how the hell uis any offer to be evaluated. Not impressed with the lack of details.

The fact that 2nd Richmond Group director appointment has been pulled could also indicate sale is seen as likely...

Several interested parties...could be 2, 3+ Highly likely bidding war could follow.

Any normal FTSE 100 would have called in a law firm or big 4 team to investigate this, the fact that they have gone for someone else has spooked me. If you get the spike, take the money and run. Good luck
