I emailed them at the end of last week and received this reply this morning

Thank you for your email.

We understand your concern regarding your holding in Mendell Helium and the previous instruction to sell your shares.

Please note that due to a change in our custody arrangements, we are moving from Citi Bank to Interactive Brokers. As part of this transition, we will no longer be able to offer custody of Aquis (AQSE) listed stocks. Mendell Helium (and similar AQSE-listed instruments) falls under this category.

Because of this change, you will not be able to continue holding or trading this stock with IG once the migration is complete, even if the company moves to another listing such as AIM.

However, you do have the option to:

Transfer the shares in-specie to another broker that supports AQSE-listed stocks, so they can remain within your ISA wrapper, or

Carry out a partial transfer, moving only the affected AQSE holdings while keeping the rest of your portfolio with IG.

Based on that email, the key point is the 20 June deadline still applies if MDH.PH was listed as an affected instrument. The requirement to sell or transfer isn’t dependent on a potential move to AIM. It’s tied to our platform migration and whether the share is supported at that point.

Even if the company plans to move to AIM, that doesn’t guarantee it will happen before the deadline or that the instrument will be supported immediately afterwards. So relying on that could be risky.

If you don’t sell, transferring to another broker is an option, but the receiving broker must accept the shares first.

What does MDH.PH currently show in your account now in terms of status or any restriction?

Have we still got to sell before June or find another broker? Cant remember the exact date they gave

Morning all

Is anyone else having an issue with IG in regards getting a quote for an instant trade. Seems I am no longer getting the quote option on a lot of stocks and I’m being forced to place an order. A lot of blue chips stocks, Ie Bp and Rio for example. I’ve spoke to them several times regarding this issue but don’t seem to be getting anywhere to resolve it

SFO’s failed Tesco case cost taxpayer over £6m Lawyers received £2.6 million. The Serious Fraud Office blew £6.2 million of taxpayer money as part of its failed attempt to prosecute three former Tesco directors over the supermarket’s accounting scandal.
