Hi OT.
I don't mind at all. I was on a bit of a rant that day reading over this again now, lol.
My personal thoughts on this Speedy are that this definitely hasn't disappeared into the long grass, but that JW is maybe looking at other pastures of grass (is my suspicion).
Going back a while now, there was the offtake agreement that was discussed with Vitol.
What has changed though since the Vitol days is a dramatic rise in energy prices, a very well known need for additional gas storage particularly with the Putin and Russia situation, but what I feel has changed most is the discussion around all things hydrogen. The momentum on this hydrogen discussion has really taken off, especially in the last 6 months.
Now I know the ML is only for gas storage but its known that it wouldn't take a great deal to transition this over to hydrogen, and government are likely to be behind all things hydrogen related going forward. I feel the hydrogen potential for IM has placed a greater future value on this project, and this is what may be instigating a review of the best option moving forward for H & W (and with this the subsequent additional time involved to make the best call on this).
Traditionally I've found when JW goes quiet, he's usually up to something, (be it the purchase of Appledore, Methil and Arnish or the negotiation and announcement of a bigger contract like the 26M Saipem one).. I suspect he just might be up to something at the mo with Islandmagee. Could he be looking at other parties other than Vitol to take this forward ? Could he be renegotiating terms or equity retention with Vitol or other companies ? Could he be looking at retaining as much equity as possible and maybe there's government money to take this forward ourselves ? Could he be looking at selling the Islandmagee opportunity in it's entirety with equity being used to fund the other sectors H & W are targeting (with H & W getting the fabrication contract obviously) ?
My thoughts are that JW is definitely up to something with the quietness around IM since the positive ML decision. I feel we have to just trust him that whatever direction IM goes that JW and team will maximize this opportunity to monetize this exciting project.
Will he tell us more about IM at the AGM ? My opinion is not a chance will he tell us much detail until ink is on contract papers, and that ink is dry. As to how close that might be is anyone's guess.
Am I still feeling positive ?
Yep is the answer. This time next year . . . . . .
TTNY.
I don't mind at all OT.
My point of the post was to say to folk (and not wanting to sound patronizing) is to have an open mind with their thoughts, and be aware of what category you think some posters might fall into, and the potential reasons behind their postings.
I personally like to see as many posts as possible to help me make my own mind up. No matter what one of these groupings i think someone might fall in to, i never ever block anyone. I never will either. That doesn't mean i agree with some people, but i still want to hear them.
My thoughts are that ' ALL VIEWS MATTER ' ! ! (said in my Citizen Smith voice. PTTP ! !
Sorry Tonno. I'll try harder thistimenextpost. x
I'm not that brave at all Si. The big gurl is a scary article and not one to be messed with.
I think you're safe enough now though. Her bad eye has been diverted to a work colleague who has started singing Christmas songs in work.
The dishwater isn't edging it with me OT, it's definitely more fun these days than myself. That's the view of Mrs TTNY anyway, and she's always right.
I need these Harl shares to really take off for her to stay with me. I need to be wealthy to have a chance of keeping her as it's not my looks or personality that keeps her here, lol.
I'm thinking out loud here with my comments. Some of us posters here are :-
- Very knowledgeable and intelligent individuals.
- Some of us are total numb-nuts not knowing our arrse from our elbow.
- Some of us only have a few hundred pounds of shares.
- One of us is maybe a TR1 and several others ex TR1's (but still with very substantial holdings).
- Some folk here are blatant rampers, others de-rampers.
- There are some very interesting posters here, some of them posting often, some less often.
- Some of us are duller than dishwasher.
- There are those of us that are so predictable with comments, and also with the timing of those comments.
- Some of us here are maybe H & W staff of various positions.
- There are peoples here with agendas (positive and negative ones).
- Some folk posting have history with BOD's (again, both positive and negative).
- There are some people posting who maybe have direct contact with the top table of the company.
- There are also some who feel they themselves should be at the top table of the company, as they know best.
- Could there be some that need to get rid of their shares for their own sanity (and maybe the sanity of others).
- Could there be peeps thinking i need more shares at these levels and decide to top up.
I'm being long winded as usual but every one of us falls in one or more of the above categories. That includes myself. . . . and you guys and gals can decide what hat/s above fit myself, lol.
Here's my point ! !
Be careful WHO you listen to here, and what weighting (if any) you give their posts.
I KNOW who the posters are that i take most heed of myself (and a big thank you to them), and the posters that i think hmmmm, jees, not again or blah, blah, blah to. (I can't believe i just quoted a Greta line, lol).
Anyway - Make up your own minds, but do keep them OPEN ! ! Remember too in relation to H & W . . . . .
OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE ! ! (depending on WHO you yourself chooses to listen to).
.
.
.
Personally - I think it's now here !
After not having too many vessels in H & W Belfast for a while (the BBD being empty for a few months), the boats are busting to come to us now. There's currently 6 vessels in Belfast now, these being :-
W B Yeats
Aisling Gabrielle
Polar Onyx
Blue Star 1
Kociewie
Karelle
I've also just seen that we have a 7th ship due in tomorrow for a couple of days to the SRQ, the Stena Foreteller.
Yer suckin diesel now JW and the H & W team.
Great work ! ! !

Si Derman. My other half says to tell you that she WILL look for you, and she WILL find you. The big gurl has a particular set of skills too, so be warned !
What was your crime you might ask ?
It was your 18.04 post. I've been singing constantly since you posted this. I'm irritating her so much that this may be my last ever post, lol. She's then coming for you for planting that in my head, lol.
Update. Sorry Roly12. You are indeed winning to at this point. The mid price is 29.5. You the daddy to date Rolers !
Hi Roly12. I cant remember any champers mentioned, lol, and I really hope you don't win our wee competition. My post on 17th Sept invited share price predictions for 24th December. The share price on the 17th Sept when I posted was 18.87p. We've seen a 50% rise in price since then to today's 30p, and the reason I hope you don't win Roly is hopefully the price will rise even further before Christmas.
The current leader to date is Chrisatrdg at bang on the 30p figure. Well done that man ! A reminder of our individual predictions for 24th December are :-
RazorShultz - 15p
Loose goose - 25p
Chatbeem - 27.9p
TTNY - 28.5P
SpeedyGonzales - 28.5p
Roly12 - 29.5p
Christrdg - 30p
Forrest Gump - 46p
Dawski - 48p & 73p
Nobby31 - 50p
Si Derman - 57p
Stokey - 60p
Jabido - 64p
Radders99 - 72p
Bubble2021 - 86p
Islander01 - 95p
Joeninety01 - Β£1.20
Personally I'm cheering on Joeninety01 to win, lol.
I'll pop up the final scores on the doors on 24th December.
GLA.
Stokey 11.42. You mention that Kociewie is coming into the STC at Belfast Harbour before going to the SRQ (Ship Repair Quay).
The STC is the abbreviation used for the Stormont Wharf Centre or more commonly referred to as Stormont Wharf. The STC is directly opposite the SRQ in the same channel of water (map below).

Apologies if this link has been posted already, as it's a week old online. It's gives some information on the works being completed on Inyanga Entsha.

Stokey 8.37. The Investors Event at Methil is now on Thursday morning. Unfortunately with work commitments I'm not now able to attend this event.
As for the event being online, I don't believe it's that type of event or presentation. My understanding is that it's a tour of the Methil site and an opportunity to see the workings of it and an opportunity to maybe speak to a few of the main men/ women in H & W.
Hopefully though we might get some info on social media ftom Harl of this event and maybe even an update on the Saipem or other works going on at Methil.
I did Si (15.59).
Norn Iron is getting some respite for a few days with me over in ScottieLand.
As for your assumption of my gender Si Der. Today I'm choosing to identify as a human, and a male human. Who knows about tomorrow though, never mind next week. I could choose to be a grey wheelie bin or even a non binary koala if it's trendy.
I'm looking forward to Methil next week and catching up with a few of you guys from the page here.
True Stokey (16.19) she's a tiddler at 63 metres, but as it's a joint dry docking with W B Yeats, it makes sense to bring both in when the water is being drained out anyway. It would be less likely to have a dry docking on it's own unless it needed substantial or emergency works carried out. Having said that the Portaferry ferry was in a few months back and it is a similar size. From memory that was a small contract of Β£115,000.
Aisling Gabrielle is due in the BDD around 6pm this evening.
W B Yeats is due in and hour later to the same dock (BDD).
Polar Onyx is due in to the BBD on Wednesday.
It's good to see the Belfast Dry Dock (BDD) being used for 2 vessels at the same time. This is the smaller of the 2 dry docks too. I cant recall anytime since Infa /Harl took over the yard 2 years ago where there has been 2 vessels dry docked in the same dock simultaneously (i'm open to be corrected on this though). I'd be almost certain however that we haven't had 3 ships dry docked at the same time in both the dry docks.
What's your thoughts Lottie on what the possible reasons might be. Surely when certain percentages are breached this needs to be disclosed, and disclosed within a specified timeframe ?
I got an email earlier today and I've just sent my confirmation of attendance to this event on the 17th.
Are there any other folks from here going ?
It would be good to put a few faces to LSE board names and particularly from some of the LTH's and regular posters.
I'll wear my 'TTNY' name badge for anyone to say hello, lol.
Ignore both Lots and Jabs. Could there be a tout within the COPs ? Someone there maybe thinks big wurley windmills could be a good idea and has told their chums to buy shares in companies that can produce BWW bases ;-)
