Its shows you selling at 6.50 and then buying at 6.52 (albeit showing as a red sell) As the number of shares was different I assume you did actually sell and then re-buy? If so well done on managing to rebuy so cheaply at 6.52 - I think you did phenomenally well there. That was well below the midpoint between Ask and Bid at the time hence shows as a sell even though in fact a buy. Red and Blue lines are merely an interpretation of the transaction based on the traded price compared to the SP at the time.

Hi all, I'm new to SLG. Bought in heavily this morning. Am thinking now that there must have been some expectation of the news yesterday and that it was already priced in by close of the day. What's the view on how this is likely to move going forward?

Many thanks for the info. The more I think about it the more I fancy hedging my bets by selling half my holding tomorrow and seeing what happens to the other half over time. But tomorrow is another day - got to sleep on it yet :-)

I've just had a call from HL advising me that what they told me earlier is wrong, and in fact the sitution is as I first said. i.e. that the new shares + dividend will indeed be worth less in total than the current shares are now, but that they would expect the SP to be naturally adjusted by the market fairly quickly so that the news shares + the dividend become about the same as the current shares are worth now. Basically some of their Rep's are clueless. I'd topped up on the basis of what they'd told me and they have no agreed to cancel that top-up transaction and refund me if I wish as it was based on their mis-information. DOH! Still unsure of whether its best to hold or sell tomorrow though - might go 50/50.

I merely say what I'm thinking I bought at 6.75, 8, and 8.45 all yesterday, but the biggest buy was at 8.45 hence the pain I'm sitting still. My expectation (based on little more than hope) is that we'll get significant growth at some point over the next couple of weeks which will allow me to profitably top slice a bit to reduce my exposure a bit. I was just point out that from our different standpoints (probably due to differing buy-in price) we have a different understanding of the word "little"

Like the positivity but not sure about the word "little". Its taken me from an excellent profit to a significant loss

Not sure of the rules on AIM but when DHIR were being taken over you could still sell shares more than a week after the offer letter came out.

Thanks for your replies. I have now cleared up my misunderstanding by talking to Hargreaves Lansdown. They have explained that the new shares will be initially valued at whatever the SP is at the time of the chance multiplied by 33/13. i.e. Roughly 730p so each. Obviously they may then drop in price rapidly for a while before probably stabilising somehere roughly around the SP now. Or that's the basic idea. I'd completely misunderstood that. They also confirmed that if the shares are ISA wrapped then the both dividend Option 1 (income) Option 2 (Capital) would be paid into the ISA without any tax owing. They descibed the 160p as net of tax although I must admit I don't quite get that. Anyway on that basis I've topped up a bit more since the price has dipped a bit today mainly to get up to number divisible by 33 without a remainder! lol

They may have some big buys in which they aren't releasing the details on yet (delayed buys) as need some cheap sells to rebalance their books. Just a possibility.
