I think the point is...20 Jul 2012 08:56
...that blatant ramps actually come acrosss as desperate. I read (I think it was in the Naked Trader but not sure) that its advisable not to buy shares in companies where the bulletin boards for the share are full of desperate ramps, and I've seen other people express the same view. Empty optimism with no substance is counter productive. I DO bother to post on this board but always honest balanced views, which are then always immediately countered with a full on ramp. It was part of the reason I sold my final batch of shares in the end - put ssimply, ramps make me want to sell. I do believe SHFT is an excellent share and that it will very likely progress rapidly once we get some good news, and I'm worried that if I'm not careful I may miss that boat. It can be a dangerous game waiting on a retrace for the best buy in price. But I'm not convinced that a dividend announcement will trigger the turn around (unless its either exceptionally good or accompanied by other good news), and I'm not sure they will RNS a payment received, or that receiving a payment should trigger buys. The presentations may well get some people interested and we may see some of that today - but who knows. SHFT has been very good to me so far - its the only share that I've managed to buy into and sell out again at a decent profit 3 out of 3 times. I'm hoping to continue that streak if a strong buying opportunity arises and the SP doesn't boom up first without me. Useful and informative posts on the other hand are always great.
