I can only assume that you have been in a medically induced coma since before 9th June when CYK announced the use of the capital raise to buy BTC. I hope that you are soon fully recovered.

As for my thoughts on the purchase of BTC, my concerns were, reluctantly, confirmed by Justin Waite of Microcap Millionaire fame in a recent webinar. JW said that it was no more than weak companies (CYK is far from alone in adopting this strategy) using BTC to speculate to try and make a profit. Read "as a hedge against inflation" as "a hedge against not making a profit any time soon".

That said, I believe that with or without BTC, CYK will come good eventually. I just wish that they would put the £750K towards growing the company.

I was always told that you should "trade a punt stock" (there will be a lot of volatility in the SP) and "invest in a growing business". And if you think that there is more than a 50/50 chance that the business will come good eventually, "trade it, then invest".

My view of CYK, which I have researched to the ends of the earth as well as the AI agent sector, is that it will come good eventually. One third of the wonga that I have for CYK is used to trade at present (topping up the old bank balance now and again and depleting it too sometimes) but the other two thirds is invested for the longer term.

I have been saying the same thing about the company needing to tap investors for many squillions of pounds to fund the mining. It will need not so many squillions for more exploration work and general working capital, but it will still put the begging bowl out to investors.

As for when revenue will first appear, by elder bros works in mining and he reckons at least 5 years from now, assuming all runs smoothly.

Another massive red flag for me is when will the Finnish and Danish governments come along with their tax demands? Both countries will need plenty wonga to fund defence spending. And what if Russia did invade?
