Is the acquisition of CFDS a smart move or not?

Positives include (a) a strategic move into a sector that is only going to see increasing demand over the coming years, as the threat from China and Russia increases and (b) bought off 7.64 P/E.

Negatives include a reduction in cash, share dilution and a potential source of distraction from JNEO's core business, where is excels.

On balance, I do not think that it is a smart move but the market will decide come 8.00am.

First of all, I would suggest that you get your calculator out and divide £10 million by 1.25p, which will tell you how many new shares will be created by the fund raising. Quite a few squillion pal, quite a few squillion. That equals massive dilution for existing shareholders.

Secondly, I would look carefully at the reference to treasury strategy in the last RNS. CYK appears to be trying to become a crypto currency trading company. Why? Because there has been and there still is diddly squat demand for its AI agents.

The only rerate coming for CYK is from sucker stock to super sucker stock.

All IMHO, DYOR, go to church and ask the vicar etc etc.

In a nutshell, you got it badly wrong about the SP not being able to be bought/sold for under its nominal value of 1p and you trashed HL and me. This is the hole that you dug. By the way, there is a clue in the words "nominal value" pal. Instead of accepting that, you have tried, alas very badly, to change your narrative in the, obviously forlorn, hope of rescuing your reputation, only to trash it even more. This is you continuing to dig in the hole.

You can sell a 1p share for less than 1p in the UK, as a share's value is determined by what a buyer is willing to pay for it, not just its nominal price.
