Been chipping last few days then had to slam book this morning to finish buying back in before the NY shutdown. No names but the 1 M who has been constantly sat on top of RSP bid ran a mile and 2 others were toiling to get any decent quantity without spiking book. If it stays similarly dry this could move fast on spud RNS when back on folks radars.

Share Prophets done write up on WTE , some great insight from Gary Newman although it doesn't mention the fact that Bulletwood alone the next well gives the company aprox 10mmbbls net to them so valued at say 10bucks a barrel as the area is already production hot that's 100mill USD asset value to WTE on one single well alone!!

If you look at the 1.5 and 2.5 reported together they're transfer trades bud most probably moved into a spreadbetting account for tax efficiency. Fair bit of that going on now. Some even buy shares open book to then transfer sell to their SB account to book loss on shares account but make it up on tax free SB profit. A good lad broker will allow you to go just slightly below the actual bid price almost as if it was a lucky limit order being filled.

Investec don't get involved with or play with donkey cash calls. An earlier poster I think has pretty good grasp, sorry theory , re their clients or a set of particular clients wanting in but either way Investec alone as a name makes this a lot more interesting. What have they been offered as assurances? Why if the death by messages this eve does it seem that retail have had to literally crawl across broken glass to secure any of the placing? Why if this is not just rumour is the company keeping the raise as tight , I always had this lot down for the kind that would throw their family under a bus to gain funds or momentum. Too many rumours about cut backs to not have some credibility.....time will tell. Not the greatest supporter of the BoD, think they've been bit creative in their delivery of info at times but no denying this is the biggest potential drill on aim in a long long time. Multiple targets so despite CoS fairly good chance of encountering something in the bore and one mention of the black stuff will make this go crazy. I've a punt running, ****ed off about raise but happier with initial drop than b'stad funding overhang in forthcoming weeks.

Not sure how anybody can say an investment in ECO for 12 mths is tying cash up as at some point in next qtr even a 18-19p buy will show profit so money working for you. I took some back today , hopefully further PoO drops will let me have even lower but not sure about any of the 10p levels being banded about. Its a unique situation we're in. This BoD have proven they can deal and market for best interests of any SH's....its one of the stronger bargains about.

I said it last night and then news drowned out point. Currently drilling in Guyana a play opening target.
Okay so Carapa well is aprox 3100mtrs for TD , previous well drilled in TLW/ECO/Total partnership called Jethro was 3500mtrs and (....cough...if you believe rumours had 4 days downtime to issues ) was drilled to TD in 31 days, then a day POO pulling out of hole, day doing a clean up run, day preparing the string and then 2.5 days running the wireline to report on the 37th day.
Carapa well is only 3100mtrs aprox TD and was spud aprox 28th Oct. So far that's 43 days!!
From all the previous wells drilled in area inc those by Hess/Exxon we know there doesn't seem to be any problems geologically and the drill bits are effectively ****ing through the depths.
Considering the BoD's desperation to report to market every point this morning in detail regardless of how damaging I doubt greatly they did so concealing any update from this Carapa well....if it was **** it would have been thrown into the mix.
If Carapa was a "total" duster then it would have been known by day 28-30 of drilling with LWD/MWD tools.....Repsol are not some amateur hour operator.....it would have been included in this mornings news simple.
Please do not base this as a buy call , do your own **** with your own money , but for me unless they have had HUGE issues with this well , gas kick, equipment failure etc etc then there has to be something down in that hole to take all this time.

As hard as it is for folk so emotionally attached to actually study the points lets look at cold facts before people get suckered into losing further fortunes on this company.
1, They do not have an "oil strike" or "oil hit" otherwise they would have said so clearly and used term "net pay" or at the very least "oil shows" instead they have claimed oil indications.
2, The main oil bearing Captain sands are below OWC , this is clear from both the company presentations and neighboring licenses......todays RNS clearly states indications above OWC so the oil indications are not even in any connected pathway.
3, This well is effectively a duster as not hit intended target zones where they planned to base production from....the oil is not there simple fact.
4, Poor result like this will not fullfill the terms of their reserve based lending facility so company has to hope this forth well planned comes in.
5, You have to now seriously question the company's quality of data and interpretation as this is the second non commercial well that was meant to have a huge chance of commercial success.

The RNS chasers have ploughed into this before close and will state anything to scalp some profit out of their trade. Ask these traders about the rumours company has postponed meetings with several brokers in the city for this week .....why would they want to meet with bucket shop brokers? Raise incoming to finance this 4th well possibly , who knows.

Don't be blind with your money folks study the facts and listen to all views, at best all they have is non commercial oil indications not a find.

Its an "off book" trade which was a buy then late reported , used frequently by heavy hitters via their brokers.

So company couldn't get a placing away to city at 1.4 or even 1.2p so now ask pi's to pay 2p.
Even if they manage to raise the full 7m in open offer it leaves them only with the lower end amount to drill the well.....ie there is no room for error whatsoever. In drilling there is usually delays due to the so many unknowns in the geology of intended drill site. Every day rig is on site it racks up its daily rate and then the cost for specialist firms contractors, its only when there is a mechanical failure of say top drive motors etc that any company can hope to negotiate "downtime" discount from provider......yet there is absolutely no contingency for this in BPC budgeting.
In the event they actually hit and record any HC's and then confirm by running wireline they will then have to run full suite of logs 6 days min/ 2-3m cost. Really seems they are running this far too tight and its simply budgeted for a duster scenario if anything at all.
Also the company line about nominating a drill date from Seadrill is just bluster as all SD will say is "great come back to us to firm this up when you have all funds in place lads".....so until O/O is completed and CLN funds are in place BPC are really no further forward to drilling.
Most obviously it is impossible they can go to drill with such a lack of funding ( even with OO and CLN funding ) and they WILL have to raise further from the city at some point but have seriously burnt all bridges. So what can they hope to raise at from the city on a wildcat exploration drill in a new frontier area......1.2-1.4p.
BPC are basically shafting pi's by creating a high level of placing through open offer to establish the base for CLN's but will raise at far lower level.

Who knows those that acted as concert party to manipulate and pump the share price in last week ( ie lets all buy at 2p ) could well be closely connected to company or even receiving financial remuneration for their actions.
BPC has f'kd the city over , never a wise move , and are now shafting pi's.....its not setting any trustworthy standards to the investment community as a whole TBH.
