Lads don't go knee jerk reacting to this as I'm only a impartial viewer here but you need to think from both sides of the fence here. It was clear they did have a a 1p raise planned and although by todays announcement it gives LTH's like yourselves welcome respite to sp drops it will be short lived. What the company has effectively done is create a situation for more of the market to go short in the hope they can attract additional money to any fund raise, ie shorters use raise to close out.
The company need the capital to progress drill with deadline looming, they also need to fullfill capital requirements of the CLN's in that they must have balance funds in place to start calling on the loan notes. CLN's are not the saviour of any pi they're the demise of investment worth/value.
Company will still go to the market for capital , no doubt about that. They haven't secured any farm in up to this point and would not go to the 11th hour of opening an order book in city for raise if they were on the cusp of securing a partner now.
If they have managed to gain a further provider of CLN's then expect they are with massive dilution on price set and terms but doubt that as it would mean they have to renegotiate the whole deal with original providers.
They've spoofed the market and are continuing to massively mislead investors and effectively use the small army of pi's as fodder to create a false book with which to attract a higher level of funding. Market will not take kindly to being spoofed or messed around. BPC is a tiny cog in scheme of things exploring wild frontier possibilities.
Be cautious here.

Okay so the market doesn't seem to have caught on yet just how massive and significant this find is. With Jethro alone they have a min of 300mmbbls.....but this could turn into another Hammerhead type play where each further appraisal increases the size of find significantly. As I said earlier note the key words in rns additional sands above and below main pay are being evaluated.....this will make sense in some days folks.

Any major wishing to get into Guyana is effectively blocked now for some time until gov have made necessary changes to their infrastructure and obviously terms of licenses. So with lack of sp rise today ECO are now a huge easy target for aggressive take over IMO.

For the contract well firstly as one has pointed out the opposition need to get into power firstly. Secondly this is only headline grabbing strong talk to appease future voters and is already being dealt with by TLW/ECO/Total as Gill mentioned....its not new news and certainly not any final ultimatum. Lastly all the Gov want is a slightly better revenue rate. They won't have any intention of trying to rescind any existing contracts as this will only impair their future earning potential and ability to attract the much needed investment to unlock the wealth of the oil finds. Political bluster without legal substance.

Even on a duster sp would probably only touch 100p but impossible to buy at that , first print price would be 115p with only real liquidity appearing at 120-122p so drop across the water is equiv to aprox 1.24 here.

Lads I'm sitting staring at some presentations and the TD I had in head for Joe is also ( I think ) BRT in 600m water just like Exxon/Hess point I made earlier....hey we're all here to help each other so if I have that wrong I'd appreciate being corrected....so actually only 1400m drilling. Timings still stand on conductor/surface/int casings but for my own timings I'll probably shave 3/4 days. Have emailed company just to get 100% conf on point but not sure if they will answer specifics in middle of drill op's.

Di mate hiya, okay firstly Yellow Tail was drilled in 1843mtrs of water so actual subsea in ground was 3779mtrs which gives 164m ROP on daily basis bud. Pretty sure figs Exxon quote will be based on BRT below rotary table. Its not a theory mate its based on fact. Yes operators can achieve far faster daily depths when you study previous drills. They actually base ROP on MRPH not daily depths as so many factors involved aside from the bit itself drilling into ground. Conductor, surface casing, intermediate casing all have to be drilled and set. Any issues can cost a lot of time, same with BOP. Really depends what size of bit they intend to go into target area with and how far down they will case it before entering this area.
Main point being though I hope they slow mrph right down in target area due to logging something of interest and go for at least 2-3 days with wireline suite. So with that in mind hope they don't complete well before say day 20 of op's and any days past this will have market getting excited.

Lads when looking at timings you need to consider top hole section , drilling and cementing in conductor then same again for casings whichever sizes they will use going down. Top hole and conductor can take 4-5days. Then after first casing run and cement they drop the BOP and test etc. Not sure what casing sizes or how far they will go in with them before drilling last section open but take RoP at 160-180m p/d after top hole and you'll be about right. Once at TD if there's anything of interest they'l spend time POOH and preparing wireline tools etc so you have say another 4 days there. Any well update within 15-18 days will most probably be bad news. Longer it takes the better the chances are they've hit again.

I'll take a wild guess , pure conjuncture they had it logged last week maybe even sampled before bit change and it was good enough to introduce itself to the shakers end last week. So if my guess is correct then it raises CoTS to about 75-80%? The fact it is going horizontal through the basement is also perfect to ensure optimal fracture drainage and connectivity its likely to scream under test. One for those with appetite for risk albeit if my guess correct its reasonably reduced now.

For me its not about the immediate news of today but what will come in time. I think TLW are actually playing it low key , under promise then over deliver and the actual field size of Jethro could top 300mmbbls.
ECO have now secured their position as a major player in the Guyana story and with it being the hottest area for exploration and soon development the ticket price for oil in ground will be far higher and much more easier to sell than say NS assets. Gil has stated clearly they do not aim to become a producing company so what worth does both Jethro and Orinduik block as whole have? Okay for Jethro alone using Gil's very realistic 8USD barrel valuation , 100mmbbls gives ECO 120m USD's , 200mmbbls = 240m USD's , if after appraisal they top 300mmbbls then Jethro alone worth 360m USD or roughly 297m GBP.
So if Joe comes in really this should be knocking on door of 450-500m m/cap with ease before we even take into account the rest of block.

Trek , that's because there was clear signals on RSP system at least 1 M if not 2 were beginning to get bit desperate on the bid ( probably short ) with the slightest bit of buying pressure , I tweeted as such bout 2pm ;))

Hey Gary, listen here's a good analogy that possibly explains clearly what I am getting at.
If Rob Trice from HUR suddenly stepped on the CEO plate of a shell and pulled in say 10mill of launch investment with talks of him creating another HUR then nobody would bat an eyelid when that shell suddenly shot up to 50 or 60mill GBP m/cap would they.
Same story here with Richard Reed.

Deary f me am I having a mare trying to get this posted in response to Gary, if it comes up multiple times don't blame me.

Interesting point as I'm sure everybody's opinions will differ greatly but ultimately its the general market that will decide in the end.
For me though I'm looking at a few variables here as an investment. First and foremost ANIC is ( I think ) the only UK listed entity where the market as a whole and not just well heeled angels can invest in what is arguably the current hottest sector. Looking at companies like BYND with the stratospheric rises and nearly 10 billion m/cap against a projected 2019 revenue of just $210mill shows a market ready to embrace this for the future. BYND is valued at 47 times its revenue......if we worked on net profit it would be valued 100's of times.

Then the fact company has hinted at developing with a view to target retail market. Again we can take some direction from success of BYND. When coupled however with Richard Reed with the strongest CV and contacts then it really is a dream connection and we are pretty much guaranteed rapid accelerated success in any retail environment. Folk have to understand the minefield of brick walls any food based start up can face simply due to lack of experience and contacts in food technology, testing , standards, production, packaging,finance, distribution, sales to the majors who's buying directors won't respond etc etc etc......Reed has all of this in plentiful supply.
So what's that worth then.....what would Messi be worth in season tickets or licensing if he suddenly signed to Buckie Thistle.....millions and millions.

I'll probably get stick for this but happy to state in my view just for the people , Mellon, Reed etc and the direction company will take the concept as a whole package has to be worth 25-30m m/cap right now ( diluted ).
As soon as the company are past the GM and can give us some detail of what they have planned and how this will connect to retail/consumers then double that to 50-60m m/cap......and that's just for starters.
