The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
People on here have been saying that contracts are close for a year now. So far the only contract of major note (350k masks for India announced in June) has only had 45k delivered as far as we know.
Not posted here for a while. Been an interesting few weeks to say the least. The JV with Volz is excellent news, but can't agree that NHS contracts are imminent. The masks are a dead duck, the company needs to concentrate on the filter business. Somebody below posted a list of why an NHS contract is imminent then put Graeme Todd on it as a positive. The guy is useless and I'm sure a few of the long term holders will agree with that. The problem the mask has is its far too expensive for a type IIR mask, it just can't compete with Chinese masks. I know its much superior to them but it's still certified as a type IIR mask so puts it in the same ball park. High risk environments the NHS want FFP3 masks which again rules out the NNN mask. Don't get me wrong, recent events have been a positive and I've been trading a few, made a couple of quid. The charts speak for themselves, every spike up has resulted in a drop off and the price ending up lower. Will that happen this time? I don't know, time will tell. News regarding sales and contracts is essential though.
Before I'm labelled a deramper by the usual mob, yes I sold out at a loss earlier this summer but have been trading it fairly successfully over the last month. Not currently holding though.
No doubt the filtered coffee reply from Sharkie is imminent
Merry Christmas everyone.
These were featured on ITV East Midlands news yesterday evening.
I think the patent is for the method of manufacture of the material, not the final product.
Wow... sharkie agreed with something I said... must be Chrismas time. The rise earlier this week was purely down to the omicron announcement nothing to do with the company itself. Sp is about where it was last week now
If there wasn't a 20%+ rise in 2 days there wouldn't have been a RNS released. They had to say something so why not a load of jam tomorrow statements to cover the lack of contract news. Either that or a speeding ticket RNS.
One of the directors of Volz, James Marsh, is also involved with some other companies. One of these was called M & W Precision Ltd, which in September was renamed to Volz Engineering Ltd. This company is involved with metal parts fabrication. Seems that Volz want a UK based manufacturing setup as well as their Europe one. Whether this will involve NNN at any time who knows. Just thought I'd put it out there for discussion. Eagerly awaiting the sharkie post telling people to ignore me.

or there isn't the demand for the mask in India. Part of this 250K order was to gauge demand.
Its back to where it was before the big rise last friday / yesterday
in-house production, additional staff and larger premises all costs money. With minimal sales to date they may have no choice but to raise once the £4M is gone.
Its a long term project tbf. One for the bottom drawer
That £4M in the bank won't last long without decent sales in place. Plans to relocate to larger premises, increased staffing etc are expensive.
Only 45K of the initial 250K order to India delivered. No others sales or contracts mentioned. Bang goes that recent rise in sp.
Sharkies posting history is best suited for Mumsnet. Mostly involves chat about tea, biscuits and filtered coffee.
FFS Sharkie, if you think that someone has multiple accounts then report them to admin. Your paranoia that people with negative or realistic posts are all from UG is getting boring now. This share needs news (good or bad) just to get rid of your copy and paste replies.
@Sharebel... i'd have more confidence in that statement if Numed were the ones supplying an NHS trust. Magnesium come across as a mickey mouse outfit. Time will tell.
If Magnesium had a contract with an NHS trust then why aren't they shouting it from the rooftops. There would also be a large order from them with P2F for masks, and therefore an NNN RNS to state as such.
You keep posting that every few weeks Uddin...
Points 1-4 happened months ago. No major contracts won in a worldwide pandemic with mandatory face masks being the norm.
Point 5. Next NHS contract? They haven't got any yet.
Point 6 and 7 have possibilities. Time will tell.
Yes, that company is known about on here. Same people as Magnesium healthcare I believe.
Mark Duffin auditioned for the roles of Sunglasses Ron and Paddy The Greek. Two characters that get mentioned occasionally but you never see. Perfect casting on current form.
