MSUK - I’ll correct you, it’s always fundamentals first !!
When you have established the fundamentals of a company, you can then look at the technical aspects.
Why the order matters, if you look at technicals first, you might find a stock with a great-looking chart, only to realise later that the underlying company is losing money or facing bankruptcy. Conversely, a fundamentally strong company might have a chart showing it is currently overbought, prompting you to wait for a better entry price.Combining the two—using fundamentals to pick what to trade, and technicals to decide when to trade—often yields the best results.
