Looking at the 5 year graph , the trend is your friend and it certainly looks in an upward channel, and apart from one year in the last 5 it’s gains 50-60p in the new year . So hopefully a base at the 235 area and a good Xmas we can climb to 285 around may. The big danger is Aldi and Lidl as with the recent data and new stores ever eating away at the big 4. Stroke of genius getting booker but by god if we hadn’t we’d be around 180! Any thoughts as I’ll certainly dissolve 33% of my holding around 280

As with most packages you’ll have a some good pubs and some dogs.. snip the dividend 25%( it would still yield %4) use that to cut the debt a little quicker . Admiral maybe **** a hoop but add in the green king pubs they recently bought that’s 300 extra pubs nearly so I imagine there at capacity as that’s six new area managers and a new director required roughly, telesales,office,back room staff too so they will be about 25-30 staff short going into Xmas that can’t be trained overnight. So imagine they will have there eyes off the ball over Xmas.

So I see today that 10 executives on the board have received awards pending a good performance going forward in 2021 ( latest runs) roughly 400k-500k each a nice bonus to have guys and totalling almost £5 million . Now let’s see hmmm, what do the Ga’s in 2021 get bonus wise for working hard sticking with the company loyalty to save staff churn oh feck all ! Well I’m tempted to sell my little £300 holding , but with the green king take over I’m going to stay. Maybe they could sell a few pubs which could pay down debt and support the divi , however keep doing that you’ll have no pubs left! One to keep for now not sure I’d buy at this price as it seems happy round £1-£1.10

Well they can have mine in 2years! As for people wanting jobs the vast majority of jobs on offer now are 14-25 hours a week 2-3 days they put them on flexible contracts so at a whim of 24 hours notice they’re asked to come in the following day as part of there contract they pretty much have too. So the staff turnover of newbies is huge , now my department has 10 people spread over the week of which7 are long term so can’t be pestered to do extra and to be honest no one does as we’re all ****ed off to be truthful. The other 3 shifts are newbies and we are lucky If they last 3 months last bloke lasted 4 shifts . So we have to train them up again and again which slows down the department and puts pressure on us well every week this year to be honest. Hence we ended up getting agency staff in at twice the price for 8 weeks to bail the night team out it was that bad.
There’s jobs but they don’t want part time or last the distance.

Well not a bad day then results up albeit slightly, drastic Dave’s off he’s picked his millions put countless people out of a job , stuffed the long term staff/ new with cuts to over time on bank holidays Sunday’s , got rid of the bonus. The minimum wage was £7.50 when I was on the till when we get to £9.30 the minimum wage will be £9 so if the union said no negotiations 5 years ago we’d still have double time , time and a half and a £600 a year bonus! Instead we’ve gained 20p on the minimum wage a cool £350 a year cheers Dave cheers the union .oh but what’s this the interim dividend rises 56%from 1.67 p to 2.65 a penny give or take so that’s another £95 million pounds to shareholders nice one drastic. Yet the double time to time and a half only saved £3 million pounds a year and p#ssed off 1,000s of staff.

Only a little £500 (2401 shares) we will see how this pans out but a long term bet here maybe 5-7 years and hopefully it will have started to push up near the pound mark ( that’s me hoping here!) we shall see eh. I did well with ASOS and boo boo but always bailed too early.. never mind profits a profit and a little fun along the way, DYOR and only invest what you can afford to lose as they say..

Well just a little £500 (2401 shares )quite possible this company will find its feet going forward I missed 17p in the week as was waiting for payday, will do another £500 in a month and that will be my max. Long term bet 5-7 years hoping it will hit a £1 by the time the kids go to university in 11 years and I can give them a little help courtesy of sos . Ha , I had to sell mine(2500) 13 days ago at 229 for a £200 profit as a few bills require payingthis weekend or the red letters would start coming I held and bloody held as long as I could .
So that’s £1,250 I missed out on argh! excuse me whilst I boo hoo into my coffee!
Sod’s law I believe they call that... never mind onwards and upwards.

I’m always looking in and reading the posts with interest . Disgusting attitude by tescos regarding that suicide but that’s Tesco in a nut shell.
I did watch from the till once as a bloke went past and legged it with two bottles of jack Daniels and laughed as the management tried in vain to chase after him.
But if I’d have stopped him and injured him, Tesco would of been sued and I’d of lost my job for endangering the public. Sad but true in today’s snow flake generation.

I know it’s bloody pants at the moment, it’s a tough environment out there , brexit isn’t helping Aldi and Lidl are encroaching bit by bit store by store.. so my £3 target by jan 2020 seems far off, I’ll be happy to see £2.50. At least the dividend “may” be a 8.5p total by next year so that at least is a 5.5% ish yield on the 5 year saye price of 150p .. then may have to seriously consider my position . My potential leave date is April 2021 as I’ll completed 30 years the kids will be a responsible age to get to school and I’ll have that discount for life , “ unless the union and Tesco steal that back TOO! In another smoke and mirrors pay rise ??

So for about 12 weeks now we’ve had agency staff in from up north to cover sickness lack of staff etc, ( A new starter lasted the obligatory 1 night at the weekend) we had 3 down one aisle and they still couldn’t finish what the guy on holiday does on his own . You have to think they’re on the same wage as us, they also put up in a hotel/accommodation , plus the agency wants a cut too, So what would normally cost Tesco £12 an hour say is costing close to £50 as nobody wants to do the overtime as it’s single time, we’ve been worked to the bone and they now can’t get anybody that’s a reasonable grafter in to fill the shelves.
It’s a massive amount of wasted money in my opion and these guys do this for a living as they said they move between stores. Utter madness
And the long term staff are leaving, another two drivers left with 13 plus years that’s invaluable knowledge from a delivery point of view.
Store wise its depressing .

Could this be the next Debenhams, I have to say I’m tempted but after Debenhams (only loss 1k thankfully) I’m leaving this well alone!
