So they have
A valuation of £1.6 billion
334 million shares in circulation
A low P.E of 1.6
Debt of 3.5 billion
Profit of 1.2 billion
Cash of £700 million
Annual dividend of £1 almost (if it was re introduced )
Covered 2 times over by earnings
So digging into the reports this does look cheap at current valuations if thingswhere to miraculously improve in the current covid19 world.

Ah yes I typed in micro focus news and am now up to speed . Interesting if they take it private from here what price their prepared to pay on £5 . £6 20% premium? Alternatively if they don’t and leave it be what price it would fall back to £4 perhaps.

Woo boo I must sleep through the day more often! Left this at midday around 450 must admit I may have sold at 475. Certainty a pattern of higher highs and higher lows , should this jump again in the morning I may have to depart the train as this has now jumped nearly 40% from my buy in .

You never know this could become a takeover target. Debenhams is down the pan Laura Ashley, oasis,warehouse more potential business for online. You could also have doubled your cash on boo boo and done well with asos. We shall see what happens after the lockdown has been lifted

Another good day for the ftse and this dog has barely flinched.. going to seriously contemplate selling a couple of thousand in the next few days as as I’ve said before I do believe the Special dividend and dividend is holding up this share price and better value is to be found elsewhere.

25p well never say never of course. But who’d of thought 6 months ago this would be bumping along the 30p marker . But that’s seems to be the resistance at the moment of course all depends how quickly we escape lockdown and how we cope with the wretched virus. I think long term this is an attractive entry point, my little investment For my kids future is averaged at 36.5 and happy to hold that going forward.

Well I think they will pay out the special dividend which currently is forecasted to be 50p. So say the share price is 250 it falls to £2 I would think they will do a 3 for 1 to take it to £6 as currently there is 10 Billion shares in circulation of which only 2.7% ish is held by private investors ( if you look at page 160 area I think of the 2017/18 report it tells you the percentage of shareholders of which there was something like 8000 that held over 10.000 shares and 614 with over 50000 and so forth ( now just a thought here maybe there is a special meeting or get together of shareholders of over 10,000 or 50,000 that Tesco don’t want the big saye folk that now get in to this category to attend !) I remember on my dot com round there was a fella who had a million shares and our old store manager ( ****) would make us make sure his shopping was perfect! Question is how did he know? ( maybe some of our manager friends know “poker chips can shed light on this area at all “)

Well yes not great yesterday I thought it might tick up to 410, but then if it was that easy we’d all be minted . Have to take the bad days in equal measure and any day it’s above your entry point is in the black and your not fretting.. blue day tomorrow hopefully

Haven’t cut the dividend “yet” but like food have a steady supply of smokers with little else to do at home but puff away.

So bought 172 at 362 close enough to 350 and at £1 less almost than I sold them for.gained about 30 shares for nothing after charges ( like a re-invested dividend) I did put an extra £40 I had in my pot in as well .. onwards and upwards as they say hopefully not got in too soon but as I said close enough and likenoggers says where will this be next year..( or next week!)

Pubs not going to re open to end of June as only part re opening is not going to help them so there better off furloughed

Indeed Newcastle any profit on a investment is welcome , the bottom does seem to be 350 resistance as it’s broken that 3 times and trundled back up. I’d love to buy them back at my original 337 price but think 350 ish is good enough Christ it’s only The difference of about 5-7 shares.

Well there you go noggers I can’t believe it’s plummet down this far in two days so it’s in your 370-400 zone to buy back , hopefully get to mine tomorrow

Thought here. So when the SD gets paid, I take it ( believe) you’ll have the option of taking cash or having it in more shares? That said the shares will roughly fall 50p from say £2 to £1.50 for arguments sake. Now does the 9p dividend the company pay out yearly over two instalments stay the same as that would then imply a %6 yield going forward which wouldn’t be sniffed at in the current world standings.
