I've logged and graphed OGA bopd. OGA split out gas and I've recently had a little look at that. I expect the companies are precise. I'm not going to bang on about it but would be nice to predict or know what value in gas sales. probably being discussed in some St. James cocktail bar right now. Nothing else to talk about I'm sure . . .

I suggested before that disparity between OGA and declared figures could be to do with OGA using strict monthly data and company using accounting week data. Different data set different average.

Linked to that it does bug me that the update headline figures are mixed boepd and bopd. You can't plug the former into a model based on price per barrel. In my pre update production guess, which I think was lower than anyone else's, I looked at average oga values over previous three months for predicted March /April figures and tinkered a bit where production might have improved more than average. I struggled to get to to my low figure and now think I was still overly optimistic. 69793 boepd isn't 69793 bopd. Maybe that is where some of the predicted cash is (or isn't). Will have a play with the update production numbers later.

Point being none of it adds to the clarity.

Hi learned enquestrians,

I'm trying to get my head around the value of the "e" in boepd and assume it is all associated gas. From OGA figures I estimate about £1.75 million current potential value per year from North Sea with vast majority coming from Magnus. I know we use some of it for fuel and injection so can't sell it all. I know there is Malaysian gas also but have no numbers. Compared to annual report 2018 which has annual condensate and gas sales at $43.1 million there is quite a disparity. The annual report does flag up an unquantified cost against that 43.1 figure (purchased gas being sold). So we produce condensate and gas, sell some, re-inject some, regain some of the injected stuff, buy gas in and do any of the latter three options to that. Can anyone with more knowhow tell me whether the income from gas is actually significant? Or let me know gently if I have it all wrong. xxx

I've been playing with my spreadsheet. UK production graphed by area with Magnus and Kraken as there own entities. Magnus looks a bit like the Loch Ness Monster! I wonder who will have the loudest roar?

Greens a rise over 5% on previous month. Red is a drop of over 5% on previous month, amber is tracking between.

January 63672 by my reckoning. I have Malaysia as 8432 as standard. I guess we don't know if Jan/Feb for Enquest is accounting months rather than months. OGA is months.

Feb OGA figures are available now and show net to Enq of 65308 mbpd using my standard Malaysian guess. Extra 3716 coming from Kraken compared to Jan figures.

L3, I don't have offload data but that is always based on a best guess calculation and not sure how accurate it will ever be. Fun though. I, as many others, have downloaded OGA monthly data. Attached graph has Nov 17 to Jan 19 actual, Feb and March 19 estimated as January and April estimated at 45k gross. Shows the potential massive significance of rig improvements and DC4 being online. If tanker frequency is ongoing and a comparator to actual field stats then this is on the road to becoming a happy place with POO doing the current do.
