Hi,
The % figures referenced to Kraken recovery either relates to a pre shutdown production benchmark or an ongoing efficiency benchmark . Either way to satisfy the last two offloads if at the expected (industry standard?) 500k, then I believe Kraken has to be performing better than pre shutdown. As AimOilking suggested maintenance done and also a little back online relief spurt should improve production in short to mid term.
Anyhow, as an aside, I have again been looking at VLFSO pricing.

Amjad loves mentioning a vague "premium" and I'm not saying they achieve the full pricing but it's a thing, albeit a smallish thing currently.

Hi,
JSO interrupted a performance at Glyndebourne Opera the other day. Letting of air horns during the show. Glyndebourne held the highest acheivable creative green credentials from an arts industry lead body and have installed their own wind turbine in an effort to be sustainable. Not the best target.

Hi,
Thanks Robert Waters for input. I expect your Bumi forum speculation may end up with you in a virtual game of Russian roulette with some of the nutcases in there!!
Offshore is not my industry but I know a bit about reporting.
In terms of the HSE reporting there was either a RIDDOR reportable incident or under wider OMAR reporting then most likely after a bit of research ;
Failure of a safety and environmental critical element.
Fire or explosion - Any fire or explosion at an offshore installation, other than one caused by the release of petroleum hydrocarbon, which results in the stoppage of plant or the suspension of normal work.
Electrical incidents causing explosion or fire - Any explosion or fire caused by an electrical short circuit or overload (including those resulting from accidental damage to the electrical plant) which either-
(a) results in the stoppage of the plant involved for more than 24 hours; or
(b) causes a significant risk of death
Bear in mind the scale of these can be as small as someone deciding to let off an extinguisher due to some sparking or smoke.
I repeat, company do not regard this as significant.

Hi,
I'm no expert but I do like facts (and fantasies admittedly).
We have not officially been told that any transformer unit has "blown up" or "blown out" as people have suggested. We do know that some of the transformers (3 of 4 maybe?) have had problems . We have also been told that "investigations focused on the units themselves and the atmospheric conditions within the electrical room/housing". We do know that a recently chartered supply boat stopped briefly outside a Danish expert offshore electrical component supplier which arrived at Kraken on Saturday and one train was up and running on Sunday.
I know offshore systems are very regularly monitored and inspected (two neighbours ex OIM's) but I'm surprised nobody here with some actual industry or related knowledge has commented on the "atmospheric conditions statement".
I'll speculate that atmospheric conditions were damp and therefore corrosive.
We have the company with very relaxed reactive PR telling us it does not alter production forecasts.
In my non expert mind smaller critical components will corrode and fail before larger critical components. I don't think this is as serious as some are suggesting. Discuss . . . .
If it all goes tits up and Kraken sinks tomorrow due to an E House Implosion . . . then I did say I wasn't an expert.

Hey Frac,
You're on fire but maybe leave Kermit out of it . . . although his skin, eyeballs and the sticks that control his movement are all made from carbon based synthetics. No wonder he was blue being green.

In fairness this song was interpreted as more to do with race than environmentalism but in revisiting what an awful song, I remembered something more tuneful.
How many Kraken Kermits do you get for 16kboepd (give or take a minor shut in)?

Hi,
. . . . to continue the speculation . . .Rem Mist berthed in Esbjerg outside CSK Group who "support the energy sector with smart and innovative spare part solutions". Having loaded up with essential transformer based spares and a dehumidifier it steamed across to Peterhead stopping briefly at Asco to stock up on the Well Teams favourite coconut scented toilet tissue and of course the regular container full of Lambrini. Now flagged for Kraken. Fuller details in a RNS shortly.
