I think there is a real failure on the part of major shareholders to root out the "ALL TALK" and "NO REAL ACTION" CEO's of companies. They have the leverage and resources to turf out the CEO's that are failing in their leadership roles, failing to deliver real progress and so failing to add value for shareholders!
Unfortunately, CEO's and directors stay on the salary gravy train because they have so much room to maneuver just on the right side of the compliance laws. When the gravy runs out they simply do another round of cash raise and continue to suck the company dry in a parasitic fashion!!! They do not exhibit the ethics of the Warren Buffets of this world!!
The investment game is a risky one at best but It is unfairly stacked against the small private investors, who have little rights or protections against being taken to the cleaners by CEO and boards that run the companies !!
I have seen many companies that have been steered into the ground by poor CEO's with a collection of poor management teams...the regulators are useless at preventing the inevitable demise.
When major investors fail to awake from their reverie, I think it's then time for a suitable individual investor/s with sufficient know how to galvanise a share action group and take legal advise to affect a change at the top while the company is still alive ...I'm ready to join!
