I saw my name on the post earlier. I would not be on the list due to post count, and be surprised if I was on the list as a ramper - most times I praise the company and am very positive about the share - but only in the long term - never ramp to increase price in the short term?
But amazed to find I am ranked #63, and it must be across all chat boards as I note a couple of names from OMI - where I have maybe posted 3 times, and I am sure djryan I have seen only lately on SML - where I'd like to be able to say something positive but cannot!

Bamps - Physics - I was very good at that at school - but many years ago now.

Then last year I went to see Professor Brian Cox (ex rock star and Dream member - things can only get better!) in his touring show about the universe. The scale of the Universe and how he explained it really blew my mind - never really appreciated the sheer scale of it.

I am not an expert in law either - but there is nothing illegal in 2 companies getting together to discuss deals at all. There is no need to disclose anything publicly? NC have an asset close by in the Telfer mine that would help GGP bring any ore from scally to market quicker and with less capex - don't see anything that would stop them discussing this with NC.

If they want to enter into a JV - there is no law I am aware of that means they have to open up this offer to everyone - they could easily just do a deal with one interested party?

Dilution - it's so not liked on aim because generally is will be for funding for research or exploration when more funding is needed to keep the company alive, and is often used to pay the wages of the company employees and BOD with no guaranteed return. Hence the negative view.
An example would be if GGP had a placing to raise £100m to go exploration drilling. In my eyes - the dilution would be bad if we never found anything. If we found an asset we could sell for £500m or more, or an asset we could develop and mine which would bring returns over time way in excess of £100m and increase the Mcap by more than £100m would be positive, but is high risk.

A placing or fund raise to buy a substantial asset or take over another company which will bring financial benefits to both companies and shareholders in the long term is often viewed as a positive thing.

Really we are waiting on.
1. Approval of PEPR for Paltridge North Mining - with processing at Mountain of light plant
2. A method of providing finance $2.2m US to finance part 1 of the LCCM project
3. Bringing Partridge North into production, proving we can produce cooper cement and generate a profit

Step 3 will be required to generate the $4m required to finance the new plant required at Lorna Doone etc. No point in spending money for a PEPR or anything else for the next phase of LCCM.

I guess at same time BOD have to fond a way forward for Redmoor. Good asset we hope - but nothing happening there just now.
Cobre revenues were supposed to pay for LCCM development - we already spent considerable amounts of cash getting the plant back on line - and then found the heaps that were supposed to be full of copper were not.
Maybe I have not got all the details here correct, but I am still quite sceptical we will get LCCM producing profits - but I really hope I am wrong.

I have never sold a share here - well underwater like many and hold almost 5 million shares at a 72% loss.

I am not sure that's the type of deal NC would want. I do think they are in prime position, as Telfer is close by. I think they would prefer JV - but next JV needs to be at much better terms for us - so both JV partners benefit equally. Last JV was great for us - but much better in the long term for NC.

Not sure why we'd offer NC a significant share of GGP at a discount to current SP - especially if the Scallywag results are encouraging - in effect we'd also be giving away another 3% of Haverion - for nothing, and at a discount to the current SP - which will rise if Scally results are encouraging. I'd expect anyone to be paying a premium to the current SP TBH.

Bamps21 - I worked for Schlumberger in the 80's - in those days the logs were put onto film and developed - but amazing company - very technologically advanced and I imagine are same today. But the tools are the service are incredibly expensive.

Oil Geo's start with seismic data when trying to decide where to stick the pin and how deep to look!

I know quite a bit about LTA, but many do not, including some of the experts. I already have a pension which just exceeded my protected LTA amount, and I paid a not too huge charge when I took the pension.
I had a small SIPP left - which I never cashed in, and a large part of it went into GGP at 1.6p. My next chargeable event is at age 75.

I am truly hoping the earlier advice given to die before that date does not apply to me!
My aim with this SIPP was to grow it enough to cover the 55% tax charge and let me take out the original amount. With GGP I have far exceeded this - will be painful paying the tax - but I really cannot complain.

If I am unfortunate, and kick the bucket before 75, I have read if you leave it to someone, but prevent them getting it for 2 years, the LTA charge then disappears. I am not going to spend any money trying to pursue this until nearer the time - as HMGOV can change the rules whenever they want.

I am quite familiar with oil and gas reservoirs. While the wireline tools gather important data, the most important data the reservoir bods get is from pressure information while flowing or drawing down the well and especially when the well is hut in and the pressure recovers, mainly from the pressure shock waves which travel through the reservoir then hit some impermeable boundary, and fancy computer modelling allows them to calculate where the boundary is - and the pressure drop over time allows them to calculate recoverable reserves.
Used to do a lot of that work - but many moons ago.

Don't know how it would work through pretty solid rock, but oil industry also uses seismic, or sound waves - just wonder also if anything similar can be used in mining for metals.

Other thing - oil technology is expensive, oil drilling is very expensive when compared to the small drilling rigs in use at Haverion which can also pull back solid cores, but I see where you are coming from.

Thanks speedy - always interesting reading your views and info on the Gold market - never really looked at SP today - came home to 10% drops across all my mining stocks - but not concerned - and your notes make my concerns evaporate.

Gold Price - I really am no expert - but lets say price does increase rapidly to say $5000 - would this not makes lots of currently small economic discoveries - economic - open pit quick to mine ones - I think there could be quite a lot of these? And as gold production increases - then this will supress the price rise.

On twitter I keep seeing that gold never disappears or gets used as such - always is recycled - this also does not stand in good stead for long time huge price of gold? Demand will go up as banks and individuals buy gold thinking it's safe or good investment - but at some point we supply will exceed demand and down the price will go. So timing will be crucial.

Also the big miners when investing loads of money in mines with 30 year life, would rather have a sustainable price than boom and bust?

The price sequence of my buys, 1.65, 1.85, 1.72, 1.70, 1.65, 2.58, 3.55, 4.86, 8.24, 5.19, 7.43, then a long pause which I now regret, 19.48, 21.95, 22.71, 22.70, 22.72, 22.70 - average is 3.52.
I would not have been buying recently in the 22's if I did not have a lot of faith in this company. My own opinion - is that in time - maybe 1 - 2 years worst case, will make 100% from 22.70.
Fortunately at my average - that would make me a lot. But the reason I am buying in 22's is I think it's much lower risk than many other junior miners.

Had a good result the other day in my Canadian adventure NSUP - with the first drill on one of their three target areas, and not their first choice one - I'll be reading more about this over the weekend - 11 more assay results from same area to come. Was underwater there a long time - well above water now - and maybe much more to come. Risk level there huge compared to GGP - and so will be volatility of share price.

Low risk investment - GGP - is only my view - and any time I have posted here - I have always said that those looking for very quick short term gains from this point - in my opinion will be disappointed. But it depends on what you mean as short term.
I had hoped for 10p by end of year. Mid year I adjusted this up to 20p as results got better. We are there well in advance.
I don't really have a target now - but for Haverion - I do not think we will know the full value until at least end 2021, maybe longer - we still have not found the limits - which is good news.
MRE - does not worry me too much - I look at history of Cadia - and other mines - the MRE usually increases with more infill drilling - does anyone know of any initial declared MRE which has not eventually increased?

As for top 5 shares - I was not recommending any of my ones - apart from GGP - I think all the others are high risk investments, even CNR.

I am lucky here - I have averaged up to around 3.3p or 3.7 = cannot recall. Got decent holding. Great position to be in. I did top up at 19.5 then 21.5 - I have faith - but I am not going to make 100% in a month here now. Earlier this year was mind blowing increases. Hope I am wrong though. Been wrong on this one before!

I am invested in those + UFO/KEFI/BZT. Maybe should have taken some profit 10 days ago on these ones - missed the boat. I don't think these are the top 5 - maybe GGP and OMI from that list.

You cannot really judge the profit by share price % movements - because it depends what the share price is.

i.e. you invested £10k at average 4p = 250,000 shares
share price 20p = value £50000 - share price increases by 1% to 20.2p = £50500 = £500 profit = 5% of you initial investment
share price 40p = value £100000 - share price increases by 1% to 40.4p = £101000 = £1000 profit = 10% of you initial investment

I prefer to look at my average price and say for every 1p - this gives me xx profit - which in the example above with average of 4p purchase and 250,000 shares - every 1 p increase in share price gives an additional profit of £2500.

But you are correct - for those with low averages and high share volumes - 1% rise at current price is mind boggling.
But it's not profit until you sell!

GLA all - long term - this is a very low risk investment - with huge potential if we can fine another Haverion - which we have not found the limits of yet.

Once again I am thrilled with these results. I keep thinking the next set of results will be saying we have found the limits, but to read new breccia zone, still open and best intercept to date is incredible.

SP, well the markets are reacting to Covid 19 situation in Europe and other places and will react to the news of national lockdown in France. I do not know what will happen with the markets, the SP for ggp might not increase as much as some are expecting in the short term.
Yes, Haverion is getting bigger, but the market will want to see Concept study, MRE, pre feasibility study and timescales of when ore will arrive at Telfer, projected AISC and development costs.
Long term.the SP will do great.

I do not think we will see any Scallywag news yet, but I may be wrong.
There has been some speculation of a JV with Newcrest at SW. Too early for this I think. I think because of Telfer, NC are in the prime position, but during the JV they have the golden option of first refusal, so good position. I would not be surprised if NC were aware of some of the early SW results, we are in partnership with them and it’s not market sensitive information.

But unless NC make a stunning JV offer, why would GGP not wait until results, if they happen to very good, are released and see who else wants to come to the party, and what they are willing to offer? Also remember results might not be fantastic. Might be further drilling required, but hope I am wrong about this.

Nobody would be happier than me with big increase in SP, but I still think this will take time.

Busy working - and been busy at GGP. Very lucky.

I cannot recall who pointed me at GGP which I then researched - but sure it was on here - either DJ or DVH I think. So SML has helped me in a round about way.

I am pretty new to mining investment - also had a disaster with SML, but happy here and with CNR although now just below break even again.
CERP/BPC - I do know a lot about the oil + gas business where I have worked most of my life. I looked at this one when someone posted it on here - and commented - far too high risk for me - I think they will do very well to pay for the single exploration well - if they have problems they will run out of cash.

Hope I am wrong - admire the guys - like GH/CB who go have so much belief in their ability to go and find something the big boys have missed - but it's very risky.
