Barrick has increased its value by about £12bn this year.
BHP is almost flat.
Newcrest is up £500m or so.
Franco is up £5-6bn
Fortescue £10-12bn
Rio £1bn or so,pretty flat like BHP.

Indeed, if funds and FIs think that a bid for 50-60p is very likely, they will be buying up to 35-40p .
It's doesn't mean liberium is right not with the price which seems very low indeed prior DFS after lots of regional drilling and with a funding package for cap ex .

There is no liquidity for solg on TSX, which is nice in some ways. I was looking at buying when it went down to .44 , with a view of making a quick 10-15% but there wasn't anything to buy.(any news and it shoots up allowing you to make 10-20% in a day or two). It might be worth a question to nick. what can he do to increase liquidity in Canada?, maybe a small 10m Canadian only placing or something?
certainly if the CGP bid went through it would increase the Canadian issued shares, but we know that it wont.

brokers do not do that all the time, indeed it would be highly illegal, ask beaufort.
brokers are allowed to discuss the state of the book and any released news, but nothing that is either not released or could be financial advice.

Hmmm so a post that from the Order book, mentioned movement, then with in 30 mins we had 1m show up on the book and within 60mins an rns v somebody who's shorted solg and is losing money....
It's a difficult one to measure honestly!.

Shore have moved their market maker to a 2p spread...and the bid is just becoming ultra strong, the ask as weak as a new born lamb.
With low liquidity recently , this has everything to motor..

I'd argue it's only boring if your sat here waiting for news to land everyday. If you view it as a month or two until something good happens, then its just anticipation.
The drill or drills are still turning, the PFS is still being produced, BHP is still out of lockdown in October. etc etc.

Sorry if it's been mentioned but again over the weekend in Ecuador courts rejected a mining referendum. Hopefully this puts that entire risk to bed now.

There are also the signs that somebody is shorting the stock (small and pretty meaningless, but given the low volume, dropping small 50K, 25K clips at times can bring the share price down, funny how it coincides with some aggressive negative postings on the forums.... Those familiar with low liquidity shares will recognise this instantly.
Personally I think its madness, there is no real negative news otherwise the SP will be well down, and there could be positive news any day, let alone things like the annual results which might contain something.
