I'd agree with much of that. I'll and it's just an opinion it will be to sell the operators and a big chunk of solg and also give Barrick et al first refusal over any more JVs for porvenir Rio etc.

Quady as you know I am agree with the push for production, maybe not alone but probably with others.
However there is a doubt, a nag that keeps knocking at my head that solg is also prepared to sell itself. This is shown by things such at the tweet they sent out 5m ago about barrick . why keep referencing Barrick ? Or articles that talk about takeovers?

Solg have a contractural duty to spend xxx in each license or lose it. It would be a real shame to do the geo work and then lose a 2nd 3rd 4th etc Cascabel because we didn’t finish off the exploration. If we find another Cascabel in Say porvenir then it makes it far easier to give -for example- bhp a 49% share and operator status of Cascabel leaving us to concentrate on an almost certain porvenir.
We get a 35% free carry on Cascabel....wouldn’t that be wonderful

It would be illegal for BHP to be having any talks formal or informal. If it leaked the legal challenge would be massive hundreds of millions particularly with white working for solg...there is No way they would risk it.
're Franco. Wheaton had an interesting interview last week where they talked about the complexities of site visits and concluding deals, that it takes months and can easily take longer than normal, despite everything being ok..

A hand held XRF will give them an indication of the core surface mineralization and they will have one of them....they will use that on anything green or shiny.

No argument, there is No right or wrong. my interest is based on the principle not the company or salary.for many investors it's seen as a bit two fingers up to private investors. Maybe one or two can be overlooked but the company in question has 10 director sells since March\April many investors see it as a red flag including me.

I find the amount of director sells since May on GGP distasteful personally and if that happened on SOLG to buy cheaper warrants I would consider selling..each to their own.

On a do a share the market makers don't normally determine the spread, the spread determines the market makers.
For solg for the last few days, they are sat at around 24-26 to 27-28.. When the price drops they probably pick up shares sub 26p, then then offload them at 26-27p if circumstances will.
The auction doesn't normally have market makers in it, unless they want to take part through dma.
This morning for example we saw a lot of A Ts 200k or so at 26.5p in 10mins they were booked as buys but would have been a sell and a buy together. The ask has been pretty persistently hit with AT trades.

Blackrock have already confirmed they support the current board.
Redcloud are adamant that Newcrest have asked RBC to sell their stake and find a buyer at the right price. It would be far more difficult to find a buyer if you have the uncertainty of the board all going and the fall in SP that would occur.
What would BHP possibly gain by supporting it and allowing more competition for the BID process? As if BHP would vote to pay a higher price and for it to take longer!
