The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Very pleased to see the rise in the sp today. But for the life of me, I cannot see anything in the figures that has justified such a rise. Guess I’ll never understand markets. Hope the sentiment continues!
SP is manipulated like no other. It’s shocking how this market works
Deluded
Love that film Abject. Think we are all getting fed up with the high hat !
Anything she can do to add shareholder value is a must. Thought things were bad when the Dutchman was in charge, but every CEO since has been a waste of space
Mandy, I agree with you. Reinvesting can be a tool to average down but not forever. I too would love a bid and a successful one at that. Just can’t see it happening. What really needs to happen is BT to act like a proper PLC, but if it does it will be put back in its box by OFCOM and this government. A Labour one won’t change a thing
You say the same thing everyday Mandy. It’s the repetition which is quite tedious. As for the video, I think it’s quite repulsive not funny in the least
Think the UK is in far more substantial debt now than when Liam penned his note.
Am no fan of either party by the way
Full expensing supported by the Labour Party. Could they reverse that if they won the election?
Go easy on the booze tonight Rodders
NO BID ( but I would like one )
SP will probably drop 5 % early and recover a little by the close. Seen this movie more times than the wolf of Wall Street
I think the market views BT as highly over regulated and values it as such. Nothing much will change in the short term and I don’t see a bid coming anytime soon. Hope I’m wrong
Very predictable market response
Not this s**t again
Not going to matter who it is with this level of regulation
May as well nationalise BT now. HMG and its pet Rottweiler OFCOM are determined to keep this company down. Can’t really see an end to this interference and hence SP will never get much higher. I get the idea of the savings to come when fibre is rolled out and the PSTN is switched off, but does anyone think BT will be allowed to prosper with this level of regulation
MM’s keeping it at 140 for their own purposes
What’s changed ? Results were generally expected and normally drop a few percent. Not complaining by the way !
Yep, probably down to £1.15 tomorrow. Can’t remember a results day that was good for shareholders
