If they keep the sp down “they can not stop bt growing in value” sorry I’m confused by that.
Consensus widely is that bt is undervalued, so who other than the city is responsible?
Fleccy it wasn’t a criticism and I was hoping you were right.
Good luck when you top up, I just don’t see any upside currently. I’m a long term holder from the beginning and don’t need to sell. Just feels like the negativity has returned and the malaise has set in once again
SP tumbling back again and nothing to stop it. Apart from results next week when it will retrace again. If results are good it drops by a couple of per cent. If bad, 5 per cent or more.
Fleccy thought 160 by today, but my guess is we will be back at 110 this time next week. I do hope not !
I remember back in 2012 talking to BT staff about their pay and conditions. Almost to a man and woman, they were shocked when I showed them the rates they could expect from other companies doing similar roles. This is rarely highlighted by the CWU. I left BT shortly after, but I would be surprised if the competition offer better T&Cs
Aus so you want honesty ? Remember the last vote and the projected oil revenues ?
I’d be more than happy with honesty all sides, but I’m a realist
“ all I was saying is that I have no issue with Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic getting the same. “
They would have to demonstrate that’s what they want first.
I don’t have any problem with the Scots or Welsh determining their own futures. But the island of Ireland is a very different historical case to them
Fleccy
You call it the Republic of Ireland, it’s Eire to them. And they can’t vote to have reunification alone. The union has a say as have the people of the north.
You are sounding quite bitter, thought you would be happy
No one cares ? Are you serious Fleccy ? Don’t you think the people in Eire and Northern Ireland might have a say going forward ?
I agree, lots of things still to sort with Brexit, not least financial services. Not saying you are wrong on your other points, but they will become clearer going forward then people can judge if that’s what they voted for. We can’t change it now anyway!
As for the vaccine, seems to make sense to give as many as possible a single dose to start with if it gives some cover and unlocks the country quicker
Aus, agreed not a great few days.
With Brexit done and a vaccination program underway, I am lost as to the sp performance.
God knows where it would be with no deal and no vaccine !
So Fleccy, what you are really saying is MMs decide everything regardless of any good or bad news? What a f****d up market we are daft enough to invest in
For all of those on this board who said, once both Brexit and a vaccine were delivered, there would be a real upturn in this SP. So what’s stopping it going to the 160s +
Translate to a 3.7% drop
Whatever is wrong with the markets, they seem to have decided that the rally we have seen with BT is over
“ If DT wanted, or needed, to unload their holding in BT, they could do it with ease.” How ?
Fleccy
You really think DT could move stock at these levels ? Do they need to ?
Quinny
If it’s to shake out retail investors, that’s been going on forever.
If it’s to attract a takeover, can’t see that either.
But there is definitely something going on to keep this SP down. Even the media have joined the plot, under reporting relatively positive news and inflating the pension issues at every opportunity.
I don’t need to sell, so I will hold like you
Maybe it’s him being biased given who he works for
Another results day and the same MO - SP goes south regardless of the substance. But I can’t remember 10% up then down on the same day ? As I suspect, all long term holders of this share are being played
It would appear whatever the results, SP will drop. Nothing is changing anytime soon unfortunately
