Well it takes all sorts. I’ve come to the view that we have an identifiable set of people on the board here, and understanding their type should help you work out how to engage. A bit like Myers Briggs for our GGP message board, and in no particular order:

1. The Long and Silent types.The invested who don’t post. Usually long term holders.
2. The Altruistic types.The invested who post research. Usually long term holders, but not always. Generous to a fault and make the board swing.
3. The Invisibles. The invested who like to trade a bit and don’t post. They assess the mood of the board to inform their trading decisions and the research posted by others, plus their own research.
4. The Enthusiasts. The invested who don’t trade and post occasionally, keen to understand or assist. Or are keen to ensure good order and respect as the basis for shared progress. Don’t always offer mining or financially based expertise (me)
5. The Foggers. Traders who post regularly and whose postings create ambiguity or, worse, hype that confuses or pumps to suit their own agenda
6. The Learners. Usually new traders who post once or twice and get shot down or challenged when trying to seek thoughts or opinions
7. The Puppydogs. Those who post without any reason, often looking to mirror the thoughts of others or to support those views. Often swept up by the board mood and wagging or barking.
8. The Shysters. Misanthropes who are sent this way to create mischief.
9. The Cynical. Anybody who pretends to be more acquainted with the truth than they can back up.
10. The Rude. Well, there are one or two.

Knowing what ‘type’ you are reading can be helpful.

I’ve already adjusted my ‘take’ on what I call my investment anyway, but SD just reconfirmed it.

In 2024 we are all gonna be as rich as Croesus. In the mid-term am not expecting big SP movement, but that’s me managing my own expectations.

I know we’ve seen a step back in the SP but what ARE we all thinking ?! All it takes is a simple touch of a finger or click of the mouse to recommend our esteemed posters. Just a touch, a click. I mean COME ON team. Focus please. Well done to Hydro at least, but with all the work Bamps is doing on the back of his fab packet and Tom is bombing us with good news, a small touch or click.....then we are in the Champions League positions. Stepping away from the January Jelly Wobble and Febrile February the First, I’m trying to distil the multiple questions into a working checklist (for me, but offering it out for additions abs comments). As per:-



- How many more brilliant drill results will come from Hav (loads) and over what time period until the full Etch-A-Sketch image becomes available given there is no bottom or sides to this (yet)
- What is ‘Juri’ about to find given that it was created as a JV right away (clearly something good)
- How does the geology line up in the region, and are our tenements in the middle lane of the Yellow Brick Road (the fast lane would be great, but I would settle for the slow lane)
- Is the exploration and discovery model proving accurate, and is this company better at it than others
- Is the company now focussing on the bird in the hand but happy enough for the birds in the bush emerge later (prioritisation question)
- What will the new CEO bring to the table having been hand-picked, and will shareholder value morph in to M&A and more partnership agreements
- Is the Scallywag hunt for whale-size deposits to be a slowish voyage (no matter if it is)
- Is real value to be found for the SP in 2,3 or 4 years (not a share for traders then, but important if you are an investor)

I am fully loaded and have been here since 2017. So I have made my own decisions, but having a checklist going forward helps me focus when the noise is loudest.

It would help everyone’s nerves if people stopped saying “30p by Friday” or “bounce any second”.

I’m hacked off by this drop but I’m not going to say “50p by xx”

We need to suck it up. We’ll turn the tables in the doomsayers and delinquents.

Paddy has always been clear that he will generously share research. The SP commentary isn’t. And we should all make our own conclusions.

Like I said last night, it’s a curios SP period but let’s keep calm. We’re fine. We’re confident. It will come back to confidence-giving levels again. Keep the faith.

It’s no fun seeing the SP like this. And in uncertain times like these the ‘certain’ feeling with GGP was unshakable and gave us all positive emotions.

These past few days are a bit negative SP-wise. It may go on a bit longer, but not for too long.

Let’s just keep our cool and not run screaming to anyone for reassurance. We are fine. It’s a bit pants today. We move on. We are confident. And we are right to be.

Keep the faith. You’ll remember the “January Wobble” in a couple of months and shrug it off like snowflakes.

And there’s a real race on to grab valuable Tier 1s in a global economic drama.
